The funeral service was filmed and footage showing the politician's wife, Cindy, and daughter, Meghan, crying over the casked has started being shared on Twitter.
It was a very emotional and painful moment for everyone, especially mother and daughter. Cindy was seen tenderly placing her cheek against the flag on the casket while Meghan simply cried copiously.

CANCER BATTLE
McCain passed away after a fierce battle with glioblastoma, a very rare and extremely aggressive brain cancer, which he was diagnosed with after a surgery to remove a blood clot from above his eye.
The late 81-year-old laid in state at the Arizona State Capitol and the same will happen at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda on Friday, after which he will be transported to Maryland for a private service in Annapolis, on Sunday, at the U.S. Naval Academy.
WHERE WILL HE BE BURIED
The Naval Academy meant a great deal to the former Republican presidential nominee considering that he graduated from the prestigious institution back in 1958.
After the memorial service, which will take place at the Naval Academy at 2 p.m., McCain will be buried next to Admiral Chuck Larson, one of his closest friends and a fellow Naval Academy classmate.
MEGHAN'S MISSION
According to Carla Eudy, who has been a friend of McCain's for decades, the Irish ballad "Danny Boy" is set to be sung during the service as a special request from McCain.
Now, with the politician, and former prisoner of war, gone, his daughter Meghan hopes to be able to ' live up to his example, his expectations and his love.'
