Rap video with important message about street violence goes viral
Hip-Hop artists Gunjin and Dashmylo got together to record a video with a powerful social message days after XXXTentacion and Lesandro Guzman-Feliz were killed.
In the one-minute clip, Gunjin appeared kneeling down wearing a Philadelphia Phillies baseball cap while Dashmylo was standing behind him pointing a gun at the back of his head.
The armed rapper started singing XXXTentacion song “Changes” while Gunjin, whose daughter was in front of him witnessing “the crime,” started rapping to the little girl letting her know that his violent choices led him to that moment.
Gunjin started saying that he promised his daughter to always be there for her, but that he would not be able to keep it for the lifestyle he chose.

“Daddy been running in beef, you know that your father is fair. But daddy gonna tell you the truth, so his daughter will never be scared [sic],” rapped the proud father.

NOSTALGIC TOUCH
Dashmylo never stopped singing “Changes,” what gave the video a more nostalgic touch as it reminded of XXXTentacion's death.

Gunjin shared some pieces of advice with her daughter, telling her not to look for a man like him. Instead, she should try to get a good man who goes to school and work.

WHAT NOT TO DO
“Don’t be looking for thugs that’s up in the clubs selling drugs to be popular flirts. Represent me right. You and your sisters is tight. If one of y’all get into some trouble, remember you all gotta fight [sic],” said Gunjin.
The last lyrics are probably the most remarkable ones: “I’m proud of you. Young woman I never had met. You was only 4-years-old when I died and got shot on the [steps] [sic].”
XXXTENTACION’S DEATH
The 20-year-old rapper XXXTentacion was murdered on June 18 in Florida. He was shopping for motorcycles in South Florida when a gunman ran up to his vehicle and shot him dead.
LESANDRO GUZMAN-FELIZ’ MURDER
