A video of a man in Texas playing the piano in his flooded home during Hurricane Harvey has gone viral on social media.

Aric Harding decided to head back to his home in Friendswood, located south of Houston, in order to collect some toys for his children who were in a nearby relief center. After his video went viral, he was interviewed by CNN where he shared that the reason why he decided to play was that of his son, who is an avid piano player himself. Before he left the center, his son asked him to check on their family photo by the piano.

“I decided to take a moment and play and take it all in."

Harding and the rest of his family are religious, and so they believe that after the damage that Hurricane Harvey had brought, God was bound to do something beautiful in their community and start completely anew.

"I went back to our street today because as you guys have probably seen the water has come back with a vengeance. I hope this was its high point. I grabbed the kids' favorite stuffed animals that we had left behind and a couple of games to keep the kids occupied. "

After Aric himself filmed the moment of him playing the piano and posted it on Instagram, it went viral given that thousands of people were feeling the same way he was when it came to the damage that Harvey brought.

"I think it's all finally sinking in a little. What we used to have going as a city is gone. I really think God is going to do something completely new here. I am excited to see the new beauty in the suffering."

In his caption, he decided to share how he felt about the natural calamity that plagued the land, being the second-most destructive in the recent years since Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Because of the inspiring message that Aric tried to share with everyone, it reached Vanessa Carlton, and she has offered to buy the family a brand new piano just in case theirs wouldn't survive the flood waters. She is only one of the many people who tried to help the family bounce back and start anew.

In August, Aric posted a photo of his entire family outside their home, marking the first year anniversary of the tragic flood that swept their community. Now, they were able to completely restore their home thanks to the help of good neighbors, and even strangers, who helped them get back up on their feet.
