Porsha Williams throws prayer party for unborn child with fiancé Dennis McKinley
Reality star and mom-to-be, Porsha Williams, had a prayer party for her unborn child over the weekend and took to Instagram to share several photos from the event.
In what looked to be a white-themed party, Williams was pictured among family and friends as they came together to celebrate her unborn child with fiancé, Dennis Mckinley. In one photo, the reality star posed with her sister and grandmother who she “loves dearly.”
In front of a decorative floral wall with the inscription, “Praying for baby McKinley,” Williams smiled for the camera with fellow mom-to-be, Shamea Morton, her mother, her fiancé’s mother, and a host of other well-wishers.
The 37-year-old radio host told her over three million followers how the idea for a prayer party was conceived:
“#BabyPrayerParty Is an idea my fiancé had one morning for us to get our little village of close friends and family together to Pray for our unborn son or daughter! I thought the idea was just precious and it ended being everything we hoped it would be. The prayer party began with a prayer ceremony and ended with a good time with family & friends the McKinley’s way.”
A WEEKEND TO REMEMBER
The party was a perfect ending for Williams’ eventful weekend which started with a proposal. After planning the affair for two months, McKinley popped the big question to his woman.
A rep for Williams told People Magazine that McKinley rented out a venue and took Williams there in a helicopter, adding that the location was decked out with candles and rose petals.
The singer, Lil’ Mo was also on hand to surprise Williams with a rendition of her favorite song, “4 Ever.”
PREGNANT AND CRAVING ICE
Meanwhile, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star who announced her pregnancy on September 19, seems to be enjoying the journey. If one of her recent videos is anything to go by, then Williams is definitely embracing all the quirks that come with being pregnant.
She was spotted at a party, hugging three glasses of ice and telling her friends, “I wanna chew it.” The pregnancy cravings are kicking in, and Williams is on board with it.
BUMPING ALONG FOR THE RIDE
Williams was also recently at a party in Atlanta where she reunited with former “RHOA” cast member Kenya Moore. The two women, who are both expecting their first babies, put their bumps on display in an adorable photo. Williams was also in high spirits as she posed with other celebrity friends like Eva Marcille and Cynthia Bailey.
PREGNANT AND AFRAID
The “Dish Nation” co-host had earlier expressed her fear at discovering she was pregnant. She told People last month:
“When I found out I was pregnant, I was excited [but] I had mixed feelings. The other feeling that I had beside excitement was fear. I’ve had a miscarriage before in my past, which I’ve also been open about because I suffer with fibroids and had to have a myomectomy. So just the fear of, ‘Is the baby going to be okay? Will I make it full term?’ All those questions that you ask if you’ve had a miscarriage before.”
It looks like those fearful days are over now, and we’re glad to see Williams glowing like never before.
