Brandy Norwood defends brother Ray J after his emotional video about Kim Kardashian scandal

The drama continues as Ray-J’s sister Brandy comes to his defense following his emotional video responding to Kim Kardashian calling him a “pathological liar.”

It’s been more than a decade since Ray-J and Kim Kardashian dated but recent events have pitted the two against each other and it seems Ray-J’s sister, Brandy has chimed in.

THE CONTROVERSIAL ARTICLE THAT STARTED IT ALL

The controversy began when an article released by The Sun revealed Ray-J allegedly rehashing intimate sex details about Kardashian while on a trip to London. The former couple famously had a sex tape in 2003 which emerged in 2006. The singer reportedly told the publication that the mother-of-three was wild in bed and didn’t like to sweat during sex. He allegedly claimed the reality star would stop to do her makeup in the middle of their “marathon sessions.” Moreover, he said Kardashian had a trunk full of sex toys.

KIM CLAPS BACK

Following the report, a fan suggested that Ray J may be “suffering from low self-esteem” after bringing up his past sex life with Kardashian. To this, an amused Kardashian responded by adding that the singer was a “pathological liar.”

RAY-J'S WIFE WONDERS

Even Ray-J’s wife Princess Love was caught off guard, wondering herself why her husband was bringing up his past with Kardashian at this time. She responded to a fan who asked why Ray-J was dishing sex details today by writing,

“I’m trying to figure out the same thing.”

RAY-J'S EMOTIONAL DENIAL

Finding himself in the middle of a storm, Ray-J took to social media to upload an emotional video denying the story. He was visibly frustrated by what he claimed were false allegations.

"I felt like I needed to come online to shut down all of these false rumors that's going around about me and what I said about somebody I've been with in the past. Let me make this one thing clear: I'm in a great place in my life. I'm happy. I love my wife. I got a beautiful baby girl —her name is Melody Love Norwood—and I've been trying to be the best parent I can be. I would never say these things after watching my wife go through labor for 28 hours. OK?"

Ray-J continued by saying he’s no longer the person he was before.

"The person I am now is not who I was in the past, and I need y'all to give me a chance to grow, and to love and to respect the people I'm with without trying to slander my name, please," he said. "God is working—and obviously the devil is trying to work, too. But it will not happen. I will not let that happen, y'all. I love my wife, and I have nothing but respect for everybody out there—past and present."

To accompany the clip, Ray-J also wrote the following message in his caption.

“I’ve done at least 10 interviews in the past 2weeks in #London and I’ve been respectful to everyone! These rumors are false and uncalled for! My family is all that matters and that’s all I live for. The old ray J is dead. Let him RIP. I’m a new man with new responsibilities and moral values. Don’t believe everything you read. Much love and respect!”

BRANDY OFFERS SUPPORT

After her brother attempted to dispel the rumors, Brandy came to Ray-J’s defense and gave him some words of encouragement.

“RayJ you better use your voice for you and your family!!! But you don’t need this world’s approval..If God Be For You, Nobody Can Be Against You!!! You are #Loved by the #Divine! #Unstoppable..we just gotta #SangOnEm”

She also clapped back at a critic who wrote about not caring about what Ray-J’s been saying.

“Yes you do care what he’s saying..other wise you wouldn’t have watched it and commented..you should start listening even in your life…and the #gag is???”

With the story getting bigger every day, it’s unclear how Kardashian is taking it all in. She has yet to respond to Ray-J’s denial if she would even care to.
