Kenya Moore, best known for “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” was hit with a federal tax lien in Georgia for not paying taxes in 2016.

As The Blast reported, the celebrity was accused of refusing to pay up on a $150,000 tax bill, so the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) placed that federal tax lien as their last resort to make her pay.

According to Investopedia, a tax lien is a legal claim by a government entity (the IRS, in this case) against a non-compliant taxpayer’s asset (Moore’s house). The total debt is $152,678.36 for the year.

MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE LIEN

The Blast also revealed that, with the lien against Moore’s house, the IRS would get their money even before the reality star “sees a dime” if she decided to sell the property.

THE STRIKING HOUSE

That decision was taken a couple of weeks before Moore gave birth to a baby girl named Brooklyn (November 4). Daily Mail pointed out that the “RHOA” star finished renovating her 7,200-square-foot Georgia home in 2016. She even named it “Moore Manor.”

One of the most interesting features of the house, which is also Moore’s favorite aspect of it, is the touchless toilet that remembers users’ preferred seat temperature and music.

PLANNING TO MOVE OUT

During the season 10 premiere of “RHOA” back in 2017, Moore pointed out that she was considering moving out because the house had too many memories of her ex-boyfriend Matt Jordan, who helped and was next to her throughout the renovation.

NOT RESTING AFTER THE C-SECTION

Recently, Moore made headlines for sharing a short clip of her shopping at a Target store four days after having a C-section. In the video, Moore appeared wearing black leggings and a pink shirt while riding a motorized shopping cart through the previously mentioned establishment.

The reality star wrote that her daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly, came early and that weeks would have to go by for her to be able to walk again without feeling the “excruciating pain” of a C-Section.

While some people considered that she was brave for doing so, several others said that it was a bad decision. Moore’s followers said that she should be resting in bed instead of going out to make her recovery process as fast as possible.

THE BABY’S NAMES

The proud mother took her time to reveal the “special meaning” of her daughter’s names, Brooklyn Doris. Kenya said that they chose Brooklyn because that’s where she and her husband, Marc Daly, met and fell in love.

Doris was her grandmother’s name (who passed away in November 2017) and, since she raised Kenya, the “RHOA” star thought that giving her daughter that name would be a good way to honor her memory.
