Thief thought young woman was easy target but she knew karate and taught him a good lesson

When a man tried to steal the phone from a young woman in front of her house, he ended up crying for mercy on the floor, proving he wasn’t so tough after all.

The incident took place in Manaus, Brazil last Tuesday. Sabrina Leites, 22 was standing outside her family in the Jorge Teixeira neighborhood when, out of nowhere, two men aboard a motorcycle approached her, demanding for her phone.

Leities is studying to be a flight attendant, but she’s also a jiu-jitsu apprentice and has been practicing the martial art for the last four years. She had lost phones already in previous mugging attempts, so when she noticed that the men looked like amateurs, she decided to act in self-defense.

“I could feel they didn't have any [weapons], they just arrived saying 'pass the phone.’ I saw they didn't have anything and that's why I reacted. If they had been armed I would never have reacted," she said.

The young woman attacked Magdeel da Silva, 18, who tried to run away while his accomplice escaped on the bike. A neighbor that was passing on his car noticed the situation and chased Da Silva with his vehicle, eventually hitting him.

"My neighbor went after him in the car and reached him. Then I ran and immobilized him with a sleeper hold, I lay on the ground and put him in an arm lock,” said Leities.

A video of the young woman keeping a steady grip on da Silva’s arm went viral. In the clip, the man is seen screaming in pain as Sabrina tells him to shut up, threatening him with breaking his arm. They stayed like that for 20 minutes, until police arrived and arrested da Silva for attempted robbery.

Sabrina didn’t think her actions were worth the hype. She told local news outlet G1 that is all in the technique.

"It's all a question of technique. I have been training for four years; I'm still a white belt. Ranking and belts don't matter to me."

Police was still trying to locate the other suspect.

KARMA GETS ANOTHER THIEF INSTANTLY

Woman are the target of thief and muggers because they believe they can’t defend themselves. Sabrina proved her attacker wrong, and while the woman from this story didn’t even realize she was being robbed, karma got her back.

The incident took place at a gas station in China. A woman was refilling her tank when a man pulls his motorbike next to her and carefully, approaches her car, opens the door, and extracts her bag before running back to the scooter.

The woman realizes what’s happening a second later, but she didn’t have to wait long to get instant justice. The man was in such a hurry to fled the site, that he didn’t realize his scooter was going too fast and didn’t have time to take the curb and get out of the place, crashing against a wall and falling to the floor.

The woman walked calmly toward him, retrieving her bag and checking everything was there as workers and onlookers of the gas station started in disbelief what had happened.
