Sherri Shepherd proudly flaunts 25-lbs weight loss after 260 days of no sugar
Sherri Shepherd, the actress and comedian best known for “The View,” took to Instagram to share a photo addressing her weight-loss journey.
In the photo, Sherri was posing in front of a mirror wearing a black shirt, ripped blue jeans, and knee-high black boots while flashing her beautiful smile at the camera. The aspect that attracted more attention about it was her slim figure.
For the caption, the actress wrote that she has spent more than 260 days without eating sugar and that she couldn’t even describe how amazing she had been feeling.
“Energy, clarity of thought and mind. Focused ... patient w my son. Hearing from God a lot more clearly. Present. I’ve done this slowly and steadily and since March I’ve come down over 25lbs. This is not a fad- it’s my life that is at stake. - It feels so good to feel [good]," finished Sherri.
As soon as she uploaded that image, her followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Some of them didn’t believe that the woman in the picture was actually Sherri, while others praised and encouraged her to keep up the good work.
The actress has been trying her best to cleanse her diet of sugar since she got the pre-diabetes diagnosis years ago. Apart from her strict diet, she has also worked out hard to shed some pounds.
Even though Sherri knew she had to change her lifestyle, it was her son who made her realize how important it was for her to change. One day, Sherri was eating something sweet, and her son, Jeffrey, noticed it.
Then, the boy asked her who was going to take care of him if Shepherd died. “Who’s going to be my bodyguard? Who is going to watch me?” said the boy. From that point on, things drastically changed. Months later, she is considerably healthier, and her physique has also improved.

Sherri is the proud mother of a 13-year-old boy, Jeffrey. The boy is continuously featured on her Instagram account, and he seems to be growing fond of the cameras just like his mother.
At the moment, Sherri is focused on taking care of her son while working on two different projects: the TV series “Man with a Plan,” in which she portrays Joy, and the biopic titled “Walk Ride Rodeo,” expected to hit theaters in 2019.
