Melania Trump abruptly questioned about Donald Trump's second term in an exclusive interview
First Lady Melania Trump was on-board the USS George H.W. Bush after a day of visiting with troops at Joint Base Langley in Hampton, Virginia. Fox News host Sean Hannity was able to have a candid one-on-one interview with her.
During the Wednesday night interview, Hannity asked the first lady a variety of questions. One of them was whether the Trump’s would pursue a second term in office.
This week, first lady Melania Trump explained to Sean Hannity that she only did what she believed to be the “right” thing when dealing with issues. She revealed that she stuck to her approach despite any potential disapproval that she might face.
During the interview, the first lady also shared that she never held back when it came to expressing her opinions to her husband, President Donald Trump. However, she did admit that sometimes he listened and sometimes he didn’t.

The first lady explained:
“I do what I think is right. I know I will get the criticism – from the public or from the media – but I will do what is right and what I feel is right for the country and for the people. That’s why I say I want to stay true to myself and listen to myself and what to do and what is right, what is wrong and live a meaningful life every day.”
Trump also opened up about dealing with people whom she called “opportunists...using my name or my family name to advance themselves.” She identified those people as “comedians, journalists, performers and book writers.”
Hannity asked her if it hurt when these people stepped on her name to advance themselves. Trump’s surprising response was, “It doesn’t hurt. The problem is they’re writing history and it’s not correct.”
She explained that her wish was for the media to focus on “the substance and not the gossip.” The television host also asked the first lady of she and her husband would want to serve a second term.
“I don’t agree with his tone sometimes and I tell him that. But it’s his decision."
At this point, Trump became vague and responded, “I think my husband is doing an incredible job.” She added, “I want the country to continue to do well.”
The first lady revealed to Hannity that she had decided to visit the USS George H.W. Bush so she could meet with military families, servicemen, and servicewomen.
She explained:
"It’s very important that we support them. Holidays are coming, not many of them, they will be with their families so for me it’s very important to show them that the president and I and the country, we are behind them."
The second half of her interview with Hannity was set to air on Fox News on Thursday night.
One amusing fact that the host touched on was the president’s tweeting. Trump shared:
“I don’t agree with his tone sometimes and I tell him that. But it’s his decision. He knows the consequences. He’s an adult. But he’s a fighter.”
She also confessed that she hasn’t had any success in curtailing her husband’s social media activities.
