After Elvis Presley passed away 44 years ago, he never got the chance to meet his grandson Benjamin Keough. However, after he heartbreakingly took his own life a year ago, they are now together in the afterlife watching over the rest of their family.

Although the "King" has been gone for many years now, he lives on through the daughter he and ex-wife Priscilla welcomed together, Lisa Marie Presley. She is her famous father's female version when it comes to looks, and fans have noted that through the years.

Lisa Marie is a mother of four to Riley and Benjamin Keough, and Finley Aaron Love and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood. Her children first gained attention as people started noticing that they also inherited the King of Rock N’ Roll’s staple features.

However, years later, they made headlines for an entirely different reason. Of all of Lisa’s four children, her son Benjamin Keough stood out the most and was regarded as Elvis’ near-exact copy.

While he had lighter hair compared to his grandfather's signature jet black hue, Benjamin shared the same gorgeous blue eyes and trademark pout. People couldn't help but compare the two gentlemen despite them not being able to meet while still alive.

Lisa Marie has also acknowledged the uncanny resemblance between her father and her son. In fact, she confessed to feeling as if she is looking at her father every time her son is with her. In past interviews, Elvis’ only daughter claimed she is amazed by the resemblance.

Through the years, Benjamin chose to live a more private life just like his mother. He opted to stay away from the spotlight whenever possible.

Unfortunately, the young man took his own life at 27, devastating the rest of his family. At the time of his death, his mom Lisa Marie's representative revealed that she was "entirely heartbroken, inconsolable, and devastated."

He passed away on July 12, 2020, due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was laid to rest at Graceland, with his grandfather Elvis, great-grandmother Gladys, and great-grandfather Vernon nearly three months after his death.

According to one of his friends, Benjamin actually struggled with the "pressure" of being in the Presley family. His friend, musician Brandon Howard, said:

"It's a tough thing when you have a lot of pressure with your family and living up to a name and an image. It's a lot of pressure."

He added that his late friend thought about the pressures of having to be a musician or actor as it was in their genes. However, in the end, he chose to go around the world and discover himself and have his own set of friends.

Despite what happened, his friend remembers him as having been there for everybody else. He adds that Benjamin lived life as it was, believing he had nothing to prove to other people.

Benjamin's sister Riley reveals she has been grieving the loss of her brother no matter where she goes. His mother Lisa Marie also now refers to him as her beautiful angel, adding that her heart and soul are with him in heaven. May he rest in peace.
