Mia Farrow Steps Out with Son Ronan at the 2025 Tonys, Sparking Buzz About His Resemblance to Frank Sinatra
Netizens took notice of the "Rosemary's Baby" actress and her sharply dressed son during Broadway's biggest night, but the attention had nothing to do with their outfits.
Mia Farrow arrived at the 78th Annual Tony Awards on June 8, 2025, accompanied by her son, journalist Ronan Farrow. The ceremony, held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, recognized the veteran star for her nomination in the Best Actress in a Play category for her performance in "The Roommate." But it was Ronan's presence—and his uncanny resemblance to Frank Sinatra—that had people buzzing.

The two posed together on the red carpet, drawing all eyes with their elegant style and close bond. Farrow, 80, wore a cream-colored suit with matching boots and a silver clutch, exuding quiet glamour.

Her 37-year-old son, whose father is officially Woody Allen, matched her understated tone in an all-black ensemble. As the photos of the event circulated online, many couldn't help but comment on Ronan's sharp features, especially his blue eyes and familiar smile, which recalled the late Sinatra.

One person wrote, "Wow, there walks Frank Sinatra reincarnated 😮." Another fan remarked, "He looks so much like Frank and always did."

Comments across platforms echoed the same idea. On Facebook, one viewer said, "That is frank [sic] Sinatra's smile if I've ever seen it." Another added, "He has eyes like Sinatra but he really looks like Mia when she was young…."

Others didn't hold back their certainty, writing, "Definitely looks like Sinatra!!!" and "He kinda looks like Frank Sinatra in this pic."

More directly, one person declared, "Nobody will ever convince me that he is not Frank Sinatra's son … no way is Woody the father." Another commented, "I don't think he looks anything like Woody Allen."
The comments aren't surprising, as the rumors of Ronan's paternity have been around for years. His mother was married to the legendary crooner from 1966 to 1968. However, the journalist was born in 1987, when Mia Farrow was still with Woody. They separated in 1992.

In a 2013 Vanity Fair interview, the actress was asked directly if Frank was Ronan's biological father. Her response was: "Possibly." However, no DNA test has been publicly confirmed.
The Farrows' relationship with the Sinatra family adds more fuel to the speculation. Ronan attended Frank's 1998 funeral with his mother, Nancy Sinatra Jr., and Nancy Sinatra Sr. According to the journalist, Nancy Sr. treated him like a grandson.
Meanwhile, Mia revealed they placed sentimental items in the casket, including a bottle of Jack Daniel's, a dime, and her wedding ring. When asked if Frank was "the greatest love of her life," the actress said, "Yes."
Furthermore, Nancy Jr. has expressed affection for Ronan: "He is a big part of us, and we are blessed to have him in our lives." She also explained that she and Mia have always "been like sisters."
Meanwhile, Woody addressed the rumors of Ronan's paternity in a 2018 Vulture interview. "In my opinion, he's my child," he said. "[...] But I wouldn't bet my life on it."

The famous director also pointed out that he paid child support throughout Ronan's youth and suggested Mia may not have been faithful during their relationship. "Whether she actually became pregnant in an affair she had…," he trailed off.
Despite years of speculation, the public may never know the answer to this mystery. But under the lights of the Tony Awards, their presence, as well as Ronan's likeness to the music legend, was more than enough to get people talking once again.
This isn't the first time Mia and her family have sparked conversations online. As previously reported, in 2023, the actress gave a glimpse of what it was like being a grandmother.
In an Instagram post, "The Great Gatsby" star proudly cradled her grandson in a snap she captioned: "Sawyer and me. Best of days."
She flashed a smile with the tot in her arms, dressed in a green outfit. Sawyer joined the family with a head full of hair in December 2022.
Fans shared an outpouring of support, as one wrote, "Beautiful, you look too young to be a grandma ❤️." Another added, "Being a grandma is like Heaven. Enjoy!" Another one said, "Proud grandma."
On the same day, she followed up the photo with a picture of one of her other grandchildren, Maureen. The little girl donned a pink dress with a pin on the chest.
Being a grandmother taught Mia a different perspective on life. In another post, she said, "Grandkids remind me to really look at and appreciate things we grownups often take for granted in our daily lives."
Aside from being a grandmother, the actress is still active in Hollywood. Mia made a public appearance at the Time100 Gala in August 2023 and turned heads in a shimmering velvet dress. Back then, the veteran star was also joined by Ronan Farrow, who looked handsome in a tailored golden suit.
A legend in the entertainment industry herself, Mia still had to pause upon seeing actor Austin Butler at the event and gushed about his "Elvis" performance, which "knocked [her] socks off."
However, when not busy with her acting duties, she prefers staying at her Connecticut farmhouse with her family. A nearby pond and tall trees surrounded her property, situated away from the neighbors.
Her red-painted abode has a porch with a homey "Welcome" sign by the entrance door. A fireplace dominated one wall across a comfy couch, while a glass window faced her dining table on the side.
Although she is still active in her acting career, Mia also dedicates significant time to humanitarian and philanthropic efforts. Appointed as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2000, she advocates for children's rights, especially those affected by armed conflict, according to the organization's website.
