Kind man went viral this year after grateful mom thanked him for comforting scared child on plane

A grateful mom thanked a stranger in a Facebook post that went viral in an instant. The mother of two shared the story of the kind man on the plane who helped her comfort her children.

Jessica Rudeen had a wonderful and heartwarming story to share on Facebook and it quickly went viral. She was traveling with her two kids, Caroline, 3 and her 4-month-old child, Alexander, when things just got out of control. As soon as they boarded the plane, Caroline started screaming “I want to get off the plane! I don’t want to go!” while her infant was simultaneously crying at the top of his lungs. Luckily, they were seated beside a kind soul on the plane.

The man named Todd was kind enough to help Jessica handle her two kids. She said, “This man reached for the baby and held him while I forced a seat belt on Caroline, got her tablet and started her movie.

Once she was settled and relatively calmed, he distracted her so that I could feed Alexander. During the flight, he colored and watched a movie with Caroline, he engaged in conversation and showed her all the things outside.”

However, the kind man’s help did not end there as he went above and beyond by escorting them to their connecting flight and changing his seat to be beside them and continue helping with the kids. Todd certainly showed kindness to this family and for what reason? He disclosed with Rudeen that a similar incident happened to his wife and two boys when they were younger. Fortunately, a kind stranger helped them. It seems this was the perfect opportunity for him to pay it forward, and so he did.

The best kinds of people you meet at the places you least expect – like a plane. But some of the worst also linger here. In a recent article, a woman experienced the exact opposite of kindness on the plane, which made her cry a while.
