She related to the picture saying the wedding was MJ's first and the marriage lasted just 2.5 months. The wedding had cost the family pretty much everything, and MJ felt sorry about the failed marriage but had to be brave and follow her heart.
Kim Kardashian wrote:
“She felt so bad but followed her heart. Kinda sounds familiar lol she's always taught me to follow my heart and do what I want to do no matter what! I love you MJ.”
The apparent similarity was her short marriage to Kris Humphries which lasted 72days. She had to call it quits, even after a big wedding ceremony that aired on E!
The 38-year-old reality star who now has a beautiful family joked about the short marriage by comparing herself to her grandmother who found herself in the same position years ago.
Kim Kardashian has always drawn parallels between herself and her grandma. In a video the star posted on her app, they both opened up about their various marriages and relationships and the timelines. The two have an undeniable bond, and it was apparent in the video.
MJ explained how she was just 18 years and had been going out with a guy for four years, and just fresh out of high school, he gave her a ring and that was it! Eventually, she realized it wasn't much fun and opted out.
“You try to stay in there for a month or so and really try hard, and you just can't. You think ‘I shouldn't waste his time” -MJ said
And Kim responded,
“Yes! I get it, grandma. I feel you.”
Kim says these things happen when a woman puts herself under pressure, she looks around and sees all her friends are married with children and she want to get in on the action, and that's how mistakes are made.
