KFC heiress goes naked wearing $10 million worth of diamonds that leave nothing to the imagination
Kaila Methven seems to be launching herself with a hot bang! The 26-year-old posed for the cover of JMG Lifestyle Magazine.
In the picture, she posed completely nude, with coverage from diamonds worth 10 million dollars made by the JB Diamonds luxury brand. she wore a diamond encrusted crown made by Versace, estimated to worth about 3 million dollars.
She told the magazine:
“For the shoot, I had to be naked in front of about 20 people, which was a little scary at first but it wasn't about nudity for me, this was about creating something artistic and empowering with a woman's body.”
“I'm proud to be a woman, and JMG Lifestyle Magazine uplifts women, they are about representing strong, modern day women, I wanted to create a shoot that is strong, fearless and powerful.”
The heiress to a multi-million dollar empire, the granddaughter of Stanley Methven, founder of Rainbow Chicken Unlimited, the South African company that once supplied a large percentage of chicken for KFC, is the CEO of her lingerie brand Madame Methven.
One may misconstrue the star for a spoilt rich kid, but she had experienced her fair share of turmoil, especially after her mother's suicide when she was just 14 years old.Lisa Methven took her life after struggling with alcohol and gender inequality.
It took Kaila on a rollercoaster as she had to either go to her foster care or to France, to be with her father. She went to France and recalled how it was a rude culture shock for her: she was raised in a strict Muslim family, where only French was spoken and had to live with siblings and a stepmother she did not get along with too well.
“We were seven people living in a one-bedroom apartment on the outskirts of Paris, a two-hour train ride from the city center, ” she further said, “I slept on the kitchen floor for about three years and worked as many jobs as I possibly could.”
Hence the shoot goes beyond the display of nudity but a struggle to empower women and fight for their rights.
Photographer Micheal Bezjian took the beautiful photos at the Artists Project. Diamonds, glitters and feathers deeply inspire the whole concept of the shoot as the theme was based on the diamonds are forever themes of the ’60s and ’70s,
Chinga Moalusi, the publisher of JMG Lifestyle Magazine, said she believes Kaila is the best choice for this edition of the magazine.
According to her, celebrated Feminism, Equality, Sensuality, CEO's and Freedom are critical to the edition and Methven is an embodiment of all these.
“She is an educated business owner and a person that is well cultured, well traveled, and inclusive of others...our decision was easy to feature her on our cover, we wanted to give her a platform for her goals and views.”
She admits moving to France was “ a pretty mentally abusive experience” but she made the best out of it, she focused on school, graduated top of her class and finished her MBA at 22!
Kaila moved to Los Angeles after she was done with school to start a career as a designer. She says she's always loved designing and hopes to share her talent and experiences in life through her clothing.
