Does God want to save my marriage from separation?

Many people whose marriages go through trying times wonder if they will possibly have to face divorce. Sometimes this worry can even lead to them wondering how their troubles fit into a higher plan.

A woman by the name of Jen Grice published an article outline detailing the same worries in her own life.

Jen found herself wondering if God would intervene and save her marriage, which was headed for divorce.

MARRIAGE: BLISS OR MISS?

During her marriage, Jen had endured her husband cheating on her four different times and all the emotional torment that came with it.

However, despite what her husband was putting her through she wanted to keep the peace and build a relationship which honored God. This came to an end in 2013 when a judge ruled that Jen and her husband were officially divorced.

Her journey inspired her to write a book which helps Christian women who are dealing with marriage problems and divorce. Her two main tips are worship and trust God. One of the scriptures she quotes is from Matthews 7:7-8 :

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

GETTING OVER IT

Jen is not the only women opening up about how to get over a divorce. More and more women are doing so, including five in particular who shared their stories last year.

One of the five women, Andrea, shared her story via an open letter. In it, she said that the night her husband told her their marriage was over she came close to death. While she was devastated at the time, she worked through it.

Eventually, she builds up courage and self-confidence and decided to try online dating to meet someone new although she does admit that she does not know how serious her next relationship will be, due to her trust issues.
