Melissa McCarthy looked stunning as she stepped out for the Make-up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards on Saturday.
The 48-year-old was accompanied by her husband Ben Falcone. They took to the red carpet on The Novo at LA Live in Los Angeles.
The actress wore her brunette hair swept back on one side and let loose on the other. Her makeup was classically done with dark eyeliner and a red lip.
McCarthy's black pants suit complimented her figure and gave her a composed look. The wide legged pants came down to fully cover her feet.
She wore no neck piece, and instead showed off the shine of the suit's v-shaped neck. However, she did accessorize with some long gold earrings.
The event was hosted by Microsoft. It honors those stylists who do all the work to make sure actors appear just right for their roles in shows and movies.
Awards were given for best special makeup effects, best period and/ or character makeup, and best period and/or character hair styling. The popular series "American Horror Story: Apocalypse" earned the most wins for the night.
"Vice," "A Series of Unfortunate Events," "The Young and The Restless," "A Star is Born," and "Crazy Rich Asians" earned at least one award. "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" also took home some awards.
McCarthy appears to have an affinity for black fashion. She wore another black piece earlier this month at the 2019 BAFTA Awards.
She was donned in a long-sleeved, figure-hugging dress that came down to her knees. Around the wrists and from her lower thighs, the materials loosely flared out.
At the event, McCarthy received a nomination for Best Actress in the film "Can You Ever Forgive Me." In the movie, she played Lee Israel, a writer who composes fraudulent letters she says are claimed by celebrities.
McCarthy was also spotted at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 27. Again, she looked incredible in a long silver sequin gown by Lorane. She paired it with Edelman's chic Patti ankle-strap sandals.
The ensemble also displayed the actress' incredible weight loss compared to her earlier days in the industry. She also was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role during that event.
