Melania Trump's floral dress under scrutiny as people call it the 'ugliest dress ever'
First Lady Melania Trump had tongues wagging with the pricey designer outfit she wore on Presidents Day.
The Presidential pair spent the weekend at the Mar-a-Lago resort in South Florida. Apart from playing golf with his acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, Trump also went to his West Palm Beach International Golf Club for dinner.
On Monday, Melania joined Donald in Miami where he delivered a speech at Florida International University about relations with Columbia and Venezuela. But earlier in the day, Melania attended the opening of a new cardiac intensive floor along with a healing garden at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami.
For the event, Melania wore a $2,500 floral Gabriela Hearst dress with predominant colors of red, grey, and white, with a collar and buttons down the front, but netizens had a lot to say about her designer outfit.
Many followers on Twitter thought the dress looked awful and expressed their views in no uncertain terms as one said:
Others thought Melania looked beautiful and spring-ready as another Twitter user commented:
But attention turned towards healthcare, and general problems the average American faces, as one follower replied:
Melania’s visit to the children’s hospital got kept under wraps until it became evident the First Lady had plans when the second motorcade left Mar-a-Lago.
Being Melania’s second trip to a pediatric center in five days, she traveled the 72 miles to Miami “to participate in the unveiling of @Nicklaus4kids new healing garden & the naming of the new Cardiac Intensive Care Floor,” as Spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said.
Home to the largest pediatric teaching program in the region, Melania linked modern medicine to mindfulness and meditation as she said in a statement given by the White House:
“This healing garden is a perfect example of nurturing children’s health physically, emotionally & spiritually. I believe in the power of meditation & taking time to be still & quiet esp when trying to heal from an illness.”
During celebrations, the new name of the Cardiac floor got unveiled as the “Esrick Dream Foundation Cardiac Intensive Floor,” while the garden got named the “Morton and Linda Bouchard Healing Garden.”
After her visit to the hospital, Melania met up with Donald in Palm Beach before they left for Miami, where Donald delivered a speech regarding the political situation in Venezuela.
Exactly a month ago, on January 20, Melania took to social media to celebrate the first, and mark the start of the second presidential year for the couple. But her posts were not well received as people criticized and mocked her efforts.
