Model Who Embraces Her Bushy Monobrow Reveals She Gets Deaths Threats over Her Looks

Monobrow model Sophia Hadjipanteli has revealed that she gets negative messages, including death threats, because of her natural look.

Sophia, 22, appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain recently, where she admitted that she gets trolled online over her eyebrows.

In 2014, Sophia's unusual appearance of her brows was enhanced when she tried tinting them and unexpectedly colored them black.

The US model, who has over 290,000 Instagram followers, told the hosts, Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan, that she gets a lot of death threats, adding:

"I try not to read a lot of them, a lot of people tell me when I get them so obviously I don't really have the patience to go through and read every person's comments."

She continued: "It's a bit of a shame when you want to read the nice ones, to have to go through all the mean ones, but it's worth it I think."

Sophia, the founder of the online #unibrow movement, is currently in a relationship with Zac Apostolou, a London-based photographer.

When asked whether her boyfriend is a fan of her monobrow, Sophia said that he adores it and that he even watches her tint them.

"He had a monobrow when he was little as well," she explained. "I tint my eyebrows, I naturally have quite dark eyebrows but not this dark, so whenever I'm tinting them he always gets so interested in what I'm doing."

However, instead of rushing to correct them, she decided to embrace her unique new feature and has proceeded to make a profession out of it.

Sophia, who emigrated to London and then the US, landed a contract with a British modeling agency. She has posed for Vogue Italia and Rihanna's SAVAGE X FENTY collaboration.
