Five months ago, chef and author Paula Deen, 71, welcomed three grandbabies on October who arrived earlier than expected.

Her grandbabies, two girls, Olivia and Amelia, and a boy, Linton, were born prematurely at just 26 weeks. The beautiful babies have turned five-months-old, and the Deen family could not be any happier.

“Tummy time to celebrate that just like that 5 months went by! We love playing in our baby gyms, smiling in the mornings and bath time,” Paula captioned the Instagram post, which features the adorable triplets laying on their belly.

Paula and the babies’ parents, son Bobby and his wife Claudia, were worried when the triplets were born nearly four months prematurely. They had to spend a few weeks in the hospital where the babies were closely monitored by doctors after their birth.

Although Claudia has not posted much about her babies on her social media accounts, her recent update is a sign that the babies are doing well.

After the delivery, Claudia is now focusing on getting back in shape after gaining 36 lbs during her pregnancy.

She revealed that she has lost 22 lbs and has 14 lbs left to reach her “pre-pregnancy weight”.

Paula’s daughter-in-law is not the only one who is getting fit.

The Southern chef, alias “butter queen”, was diagnosed with type 2 adult onset diabetes in 2012. Since then, she has shed a whopping 40 pounds to look fit and healthy.

After being diagnosed with diabetes, Paula kept off “white” food including white rice, white potatoes, and white bread to maintain a healthier lifestyle. Her dietary change helped her shed 40 pounds in just four months.

“But the thing that I’m really trying to focus on is moderation. Moderation. Moderation. Eat a cookie, just don’t eat six of ‘em! Because no one wants to go their whole life thinking they can never have anything good again,” she revealed on The Doctor Oz Show.
