Jennifer Lopez Gets Cozy in a Warm Fur Scarf, but All Eyes Are on Her $100,000 Crocodile Bag

On Sunday, newly engaged couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez was spotted going out for dinner date at New York City’s Polo Bar. One item that the singer had in her possession drew the eye.

Nope, it wasn’t the massive engagement ring but something else!

Jennifer Lopez’s, Hermès Himalayan crocodile Birkin purse was on display this weekend in Manhattan at Ralph Lauren's restuarant. The bag was said to be the world’s rarest and most expensive handbag.

It is also owned by two other celebrities, Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian. It’s estimated that the crocodile bag retails for over $100,000 on both the primary and auction markets.

The exclusive handbag gets its name from the way it’s colored. Looking at it, one can see how it evokes the snow-capped Himalayan Mountains.

It is made from Nilo crocodile hide which is made in extremely limited quantities. The handbag is known for breaking auction records.

Last December, Christie’s sold a Himalayan Birkin that was adorned with 18k white gold and diamond hardware for $295,938. This became the most expensive handbag ever sold at a European auction.

In June 2017, a similar one was sold by Christie’s for $380,000 in Hong Kong. It was hard deciding whether to focus on Lopez’s bag or her $1.8 million engagement ring.

The 49-year-old singer is a big fan of Hermès. She owns Birkins in nearly every color of the rainbow and uses a $19K yellow Kelly as a gym bag.

For her special time out with fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, the singer kept warm in a white coat with a matching fur scarf and ripped skinny jeans. She accessorized with gold Jennifer Fisher Samira hoop earrings.

“Jenny from the Block” kept her feet cozy with $418 Alexander McQueen’s white sneakers with an exaggerated sole. Her other half looked handsome in a gray plaid coat, a gray sweater, navy pants, and navy shoes.

Rodriguez and Lopez got engaged at Baker's Bay, an exclusive island in the Bahamas. This was where the couple, who’s been together for more than two years, first went on vacation together.
