Remember the Grandpa from 2000 Film ‘Seventeen Again’? He Is 42 Now and Doesn’t Look His Age
“Seventeen Again,” the Showtime film released in 2000, is remembered as one of the first projects in which Tia, Tamera, and Tahj Mowry worked together.
However, one of the actors who also attracted a lot of attention was Mark Taylor, who portrayed the young version of Grandpa Eugene “Gene” Donovan in the movie.
Now that almost 19 years have passed since the release of the film, Mark was in an interview with the Shade Room in which he revealed some details about filming with the Mowry family, his life, and career.
WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO WORK WITH THE TWINS
The man, who is 42 years old but looks a lot younger, admitted that the twins’ presence created an enjoyable tone on set as they were committed to their job but also had fun being creative, which Mark considered as one of the reasons why the movie was so memorable.
Mark, who grew up in Canada, has worked in several shows in the US and Canada. In comparison, he admitted that there were subtle differences between the projects in both countries, but that generally directors and lead actors are the ones who set the tone.
Apart from that, he said that he is influenced by the city and culture the shows are shot in, naming the vibe of the people, how they interact with each other, and how they relate to life are essential on set.
PROUD OF HOW DIVERSE THE FILMING INDUSTRY HAS BECOME
Mark also pointed out that the entertainment industry was becoming more diverse as more actors and actresses of color are being involved in films and shows. He added, though, that “there is a lot more progress to be made, but it’s heading in the right direction.”
Finally, the actor revealed a few people he would love to work with in the future, including Denzel Washington, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Zoe Saldana, and Michael B. Jordan.
A RECENT PIC WITH TIA MOWRY
Even though it has been a lot of time since they worked together, Mark and Tia apparently still have a good relationship. In a photo that the man shared, he appeared next to the actress and Cree, her son, posing on the Orange Carpet at the Kids’ Choice Award.
In the pic, Tia was rocking black heels, a grey ensemble, and a black blouse while Mark opted for brown shoes, black pants, and a blue blazer. Mark labeled it as “a little reunion” and added that both Tia and Cree were “so cool!”
