Kylie Jenner Speaks out Again after Criticism for Being Named ' Youngest Self-Made Billionaire'
Kylie Jenner finally speaks out after being criticized for being named the "youngest self-made billionaire" by Forbes despite being from a rich family.
The youngest Jenner sibling spoke to the New York Times about the circumstances surrounding her title of "self-made billionaire," which sparked criticism from people who believed that she definitely did not come from nothing.
To Kylie, she definitely didn't take anything financially from her parents, but with regards to her connections, she admits that she did get a lot of help thanks to her huge platform.
"I can't say I've done it by myself. If they're just talking finances, technically, yes, I don't have any inherited money. But I have had a lot of help and a huge platform."
PEOPLE CRITICIZING THE KARDASHIANS' EMPIRE
Despite clarifying that she's technically had help from her connections, people tend to discredit the Kardashians as entrepreneurs and instead label them as reality TV stars.
However, regardless of what people think about them, their undeniable hustle could never be denied. Each sibling has their own empire they continue to build. but Kylie was the first to ever make the most out of the opportunities given to her.
Her billion-dollar empire first began with the Kylie Lip Kit sets, until they expanded to an entire makeup line. Her siblings then followed suit, creating their own collaborations, and Kim creating her own makeup line as well. Aside from her Kylie Cosmetics label, she also has a couple of businesses under her belt which officially makes her the richest member of her family.
KYLIE'S OWN EMPIRE
Kylie's empire started building since she was a young girl, and now she is considered to be one of the most successful young adults of all time. She first started saving up as a member of the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" show, which she's been starring in since she was 9-years-old. At 14-years-old, she launched a clothing line for both PacSun and Topshop in collaboration with her older sister Kylie.
Three years later, she began her own brand called Kylie Cosmetics, with her Kylie Lip Kit raking in millions of dollars in sales alone.
According to Forbes, her company is currently valued at $800 million, with a whopping $330 million in sales back in 2017. With Kylie being the face and sole owner of the cosmetics line, most of the money from that account goes straight to her pocket.
