Britney's Sister Shares Throwback Pic after Spears Checks into a 'Wellness Treatment' Facility

Jamie Lynn Spears shows her support for sister Britney, who is distraught over dad's illness.

28-year-old Jamie Lynn recently posted a throwback photo of herself together with sister, Britney. Both looked cute and had smiles on their faces as they stepped out of a school bus.

Her caption read, “Yup, she rode the bus home with me after my first day of school, cuz she’s the fn best.”

The pop star has checked in to a wellness center to receive treatment for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Just a day ago, she posted on Instagram:

“We all need to take time for a little ‘me time.'"

Early this year, the 37-year-old icon canceled her “Domination” show, saying in another Instagram post, “I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart. However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make.”

She added, “A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time. I hope you all can understand.”

While Britney is getting treatment, her two sons, Sean, 13 and Jayden, 12 are being cared for by their father, Kevin Federline.

Meanwhile, Britney’s boyfriend, Sam Asghari shared on Instagram about the pop icon’s decision to check herself into a mental health facility:

“It isn’t weakness, it’s a sign of absolute strength. People should only be inspired by this, at least I am.”

According to Asghari, Britney is an” inspiration” for getting professional help amid her dad’s health issues.

"Her dad being sick has taken a toll on her. He nearly died and actually had another surgery a few weeks ago. He’s not doing well. They’re so close and it has been a lot. There is nothing dramatic going on with her—she just realized she needs to make sure to take time to care for herself.”
