Photos of Alec Baldwin in His Youth Prove He Wins among His Peers by Still Looking Fantastic
Dashing photographs of actor Alec Baldwin from his early days prove he's almost too good to be true.
Baldwin started his career in 1980 when he was picked to star as Billy Aldrich in the NBC daytime soap opera "The Doctors." He rose to prominence for playing Joshua Rush on seasons 6 and 7 of the long-running CBS television drama, "Knots Landing," which aired from 1979 to 1993.
His performance in the 2003 romantic drama "The Cooler" earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. From 2006 to 2013, Baldwin starred as Jack Donaghy on the NBC sitcom "30 Rock." For his exemplary work on the show, the actor won two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Since 2016, he has been the host of "Match Game." In 2017, he won an Emmy for his satirical portrayal of President Donald Trump on the hit sketch series, "Saturday Night Live."
Baldwin has been among the celebrities who have openly criticized the real estate mogul-turned-politician. But the actor later turned serious, stressing the importance of art in people's lives. He said that when a person dies, he or she would not remember a bill passed by Congress or a Supreme Court decision. He encouraged fellow entertainers to keep working hard to amuse and influence the people.
In the past, the actor has floated the idea of running for a political office. In a 2008 interview, Baldwin said he had not given up yet on his childhood dream of becoming a politician. In 2011, Baldwin also hinted the possibility of running for mayor of New York City. But he later dropped the idea.
Meanwhile, long before Baldwin had established himself as one of the most successful public figures in Hollywood, he was known primarily as an up-and-coming heartthrob. Here, we take a moment to appreciate some photos of Baldwin when he was young. Behold:
