LoveBScott: Kevin Hunter Reportedly Cursed and Screamed after Receiving Divorce Papers in Gift Box
Following the announcement that TV show host Wendy Williams is divorcing her husband of over two decades, Kevin Hunter, new details have emerged about how Williams presented the papers and Hunter’s subsequent reaction.
The “Wendy Williams Show” host reportedly served Hunter with divorce papers on Thursday, April 11, and according to LoveBScott, she made an elaborate performance of the whole business.
THE DIVORCE REVEAL
Sources informed the outlet that Williams disguised the legal documents as a wrapped present with accompanying bows and all.
When Hunter unwrapped his “present,” the process server uttered those famous words, ‘you have been served,’ revealed the insider adding that:
“Kevin is now persona non-grata at ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’ The passcodes have been changed and his access to the building has been revoked. Wendy has instructed staff to not let him anywhere near her.”
HUNTER'S REACTION
The TV producer, who has been managing his wife’s career and working on her highly-rated talk show, allegedly “went off, cursing and screaming” when he wasn’t allowed into production offices.
The news broke last week that Williams had filed for divorce from Hunter, 47, who she’s been married to since November of 1997. The estranged couple shares a 19-year-old son, Kevin Hunter Jr.

WENDY WILLIAMS' CAMP SPEAKS OUT
Following the divorce reports, the “Wendy Williams Show” team and the TV diva’s reps avoided directly confirming or denying the news.
In a statement sent to CNN, the show’s spokesperson said:
"Wendy and her family have been a part of Debmar-Mercury for over 10 years. We respect their privacy regarding personal matters. As always, we remain committed to bringing an entertaining and topical show to our viewers."
Meanwhile, a personal representative of Williams told Ebony that she and Hunter are “working through this process together.”
“Thank you to everyone for respecting the family’s privacy during this time,” the statement read. “Kevin is supportive of Wendy, and they are working through this process together. No additional comment will be provided at this time.”
THE EVENTS THAT PROBABLY TIPPED WILLIAMS OVER
Williams and Hunter’s marriage has been plagued with infidelity rumors for years, but it appears things got pretty ugly after the latter reportedly welcomed a child with his mistress, Sharina Hudson, who he’s been alleged to be dating on the side for over ten years.
Reports of the love child came around the same time Williams, 54, tearfully opened up to fans about living in a sober house to deal with addiction problems. The news reportedly drove Williams into a relapse where she was found drunk and had to be hospitalized.
SHE CLAIMED ALL WAS WELL
The former radio personality initially dismissed rumors of trouble in her marriage earlier this year, telling viewers of her show:
"I want to shout out to my husband. I'm still wearing my ring. …I’m still very much in love with my husband. Anybody who's been married for 5 minutes or 500 years; you know marriages have ebbs and flows. Marriages are not easy. Don't ask me about mine until you see this [ring] gone and it ain't going anywhere—not in this lifetime."
Now, however, with the recent developments, it looks like Williams is taking charge and making moves to say goodbye to that ring permanently.
