Lewis Hamilton Gifts Kim Kardashian's Kids a Dog and Opens Up About Their Bond

A pre-race press panel usually revolves around lap times, tire choices, and strategy. This one took a turn when the driver started talking about what makes his life richer off the track, and why time with one particular family has become so meaningful to him.

Lewis Hamilton, 41, was speaking at a press panel ahead of the F1 Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, when the conversation turned to life away from racing and he pointed to his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, 46, and her four children as a source of joy.

Hamilton said his niece and nephew had always made him happy, and that Kardashian's kids now do the same. Spending time with them, and getting to play with all four, is something he clearly treasures.

He also revealed a gift that has already changed their household — he gave the family a dog. "Little Halo is a new member of that family," the 41-year-old shared.

Kardashian shares her children — North, 13, Saint, ten, Chicago, eight, and Psalm, seven, with ex-husband Kanye West. Following their divorce, the beauty mogul sparked various dating rumors before confirming her relationship with the F1 star.

From Friends to Partners

Hamilton and Kardashian knew each other long before their romance. They were friendly for years, and photographers caught her greeting him with a kiss on the cheek at the 2014 GQ Men of the Year ceremony.

They were later pictured together at the 2021 WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards and at Pharrell Williams' debut Louis Vuitton menswear show in 2023.

However, their names became linked romantically in February 2026. On February 2, TMZ obtained a video of the pair stepping out of the same SUV as they arrived at a hotel in Paris. A source later confirmed to People that it was a romantic meetup.

According to reports, the two had flown in from the United Kingdom on a private jet after a weekend away at Estelle Manor, a luxury hotel and private members' club in the Cotswolds, England. Hamilton and Kardashian then made things official on Instagram in April.

Earning Her Trust

According to an insider, Kardashian has been careful about who spends time with her children, and the source revealed in June that the SKIMS founder is protective of her kids and doesn't take new introductions lightly.

"The fact that Lewis has spent time with the kids reflects how much she trusts him," the insider noted. That closeness was visible in July, when Kardashian posted photos from her family's Fourth of July trip to a lake.

One was a selfie of her smiling next to Hamilton and her eight-year-old daughter. Another showed the couple posing with three of the 46-year-old's children in matching racing outfits.

The reality TV star captioned the post by calling the group her favorite people. Three days later, Hamilton shared his own lake photo with Kim Kardashian and two of her children. His caption encouraged people to keep their loved ones close.
