The newlyweds reportedly made sure their wedding guests did not leave empty-handed — but the most talked-about gift was not the one with four wheels…

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce did not just host a wedding reception — they created an entire experience where guests could mingle, party, and possibly walk away with something wildly expensive.

But before getting to the lavish raffle gifts and the glittering surprise tucked inside a black velvet box, there were plenty of other wedding details that made the celebration sound anything but ordinary.

The "Love Story" hitmaker and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, married on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York City.

According to People, MSG underwent a dramatic transformation before guests arrived. "It looked like a forest," an insider told the publication, describing décor that included trees and ferns throughout the venue.

The arena seating was also covered in white as Taylor and the NFL star exchanged vows before family and friends. The insider said Taylor walked down the aisle to a stage where the couple said, "I do."

One Ceremony Detail Reportedly Lasted Far Longer Than Most Guests Expected

According to the publication's insider, Taylor and Travis each read vows that lasted about 20 minutes, using matching gold books during the ceremony.

The couple also reportedly placed embroidered handkerchiefs at guests' seats, anticipating the emotional moments throughout the service. After the ceremony, guests were invited to continue the celebration in a separate reception space.

Taylor's mother, Andrea Swift, welcomed everyone into the reception room, where a stage had already been prepared for live performances.

The publication reported that Paul McCartney performed The Beatles' "I Want to Hold Your Hand," while Stevie Nicks was also among the evening's performers.

The reception featured food stations serving Italian cuisine and sushi, along with passed hors d'oeuvres. There were also bars throughout the venue.

Although MSG is one of the country's largest entertainment venues, the insider described the reception as feeling "very crowded." Another question quickly emerged after news of the wedding spread: Who officiated the ceremony?

TMZ reported that "Happy Gilmore" star Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony and also performed an original song for the newlyweds. The outlet additionally reported that Jason and Kylie Kelce's daughters served as the flower girls.

Guests Played for Prizes Most Couples Would Never Put on a Raffle Table

According to TMZ, the newlyweds' celebration included interactive games throughout the evening, with attendees earning raffle tickets for a chance to win some seriously luxurious prizes. And because this was Taylor and Travis, the raffle table was not exactly stocked with candles, mugs, or cute little thank-you bags.

The reported prize list included Cartier watches, multiple designer handbags, and one item that seemed to carry a much deeper meaning for the couple. That prize was a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle with the license plate "JUST&T MRD."

The classic car is reportedly the same model Taylor and Travis famously rode in together on their first date, making it not just a flashy wedding favor, but a nostalgic nod to where their love story publicly began.

Swifties may remember the now-iconic moment Taylor left Arrowhead Stadium with Travis in a vintage convertible back in September 2023.

So, yes, among the wedding games and glittering guest list, there was also a raffle prize that doubled as a full-circle romantic Easter egg. However, TMZ reported that it was unclear who ended up winning the coveted prizes, including who may have driven away with the Chevelle.

Still, the message was pretty obvious: Taylor and Travis were not playing around when it came to thanking their guests. The guest list itself reportedly had more than enough star power to turn any dinner table into a red carpet.

Tom Brady, Chris Rock, Michael Strahan, Stephen A. Smith, Steven Spielberg, Hugh Grant, Jessica Alba, and her boyfriend, Danny Ramirez, were among the attendees who made earlier exits, starting around 10 p.m. Friday.

The outlet also reported that Selena Gomez, Laura Dern, Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid, Ethan Hawke, and his wife, Ryan, were among the late-night partiers.

Between the famous faces, personalized food, games, designer prizes, and a sentimental vintage car, the reception sounded less like a formal send-off and more like an ultra-exclusive celebrity game night.

But Before the Reception, Guests Were Already Carrying Something Mysterious

And yet, that was not the only lavish gesture surrounding the wedding festivities. Before guests had the chance to win watches, handbags, or even a classic car, another select group had already been handed a mysterious keepsake at the couple's rehearsal dinner.

As per Page Six, guests at Taylor Swift and Travis's Thursday night rehearsal dinner were seen leaving with black velvet boxes etched with the couple's initials. The boxes alone were enough to spark curiosity.

After all, at a wedding this closely watched, a black velvet box does not exactly whisper "simple souvenir." The outlet reported that the boxes were presented with an image that appeared to show the garden from Taylor and Travis's engagement photos.

That image was reportedly printed on frayed fabric, wrapped around a commemorative card, and fastened with an elegant silver wax seal.

The packaging was dramatic, romantic, and very on-brand for a couple whose milestones have often come with layers of meaning. But the real intrigue was what guests were carrying inside...

A source told Page Six that each box contained one large champagne flute adorned with diamonds. So, no, these were not ordinary glasses meant to be tucked away in a kitchen cabinet. They were bejeweled keepsakes — the kind of wedding favor that sounds less like a favor and more like a collector's item.

The rehearsal dinner was held at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden, with around 100 people invited. Among those guests were Gigi and Bradley, Selena, Lena Dunham, Taylor's longtime Collaborator Jack Antonoff and his sister Rachel, and Ashley Avignone.

The outlet also reported that Sports Reporter Erin Andrews and her husband, former NHL Player Jarret Stoll, Taylor's longtime Publicist Tree Paine, childhood best friend Abigail Anderson, Travis's Manager Amanda Santa, his longtime friend Reggie "Regrunt" King and his wife, Sarah, and Sports Commentator Charissa Thompson were also spotted.

For any other couple, a diamond-adorned champagne flute might have been the most extravagant detail of the entire wedding week. But here, it was only one piece of a much bigger picture…

The Couple Also Chose Several Wedding Traditions Their Own Way

According to Bloomberg, Taylor's publicist, Tree, said the couple wore Christian Dior Haute Couture, while their shoes were custom-made by Christian Louboutin. The "Lover" singer completed her bridal look with Cartier jewelry.

The ceremony looks were designed by Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of Dior Women's, Men's, and Haute Couture collections. According to Tree, the gown marked Jonathan's first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. The couple also departed from the traditional bridal party format.

The publication also spoke with luxury Wedding Planner Irene Katzias, who said whoever planned the event had "the honor of a lifetime."

"They probably feel so much pressure, and they probably feel like all eyes are on them," Irene said. "Inadvertently, they are also creating history and creating a trend - and they know it, too."

As More Guests Arrived, One Wedding Look Quickly Became a Talking Point

Although the ceremony itself remained out of public view, photographers captured many of the guests as they made their way to MSG.

According to Vogue, the couple's approximately 1,000-person guest list reflected the many parts of Taylor's and Travis's lives, bringing together musicians, actors, athletes, and longtime friends.

Streets surrounding the venue were blocked off in an effort to provide privacy, though paparazzi and fans waiting nearby were still able to catch glimpses of celebrity arrivals.

Abigail, Taylor's childhood best friend, was spotted leaving her hotel alongside her husband, Charles Berard, as they headed to the wedding.

According to Vogue, Abigail wore a strapless Sau Lee gown featuring a greige boned bodice paired with a draped brown satin skirt. She completed the look with clear heels and carried a metallic clutch, while Charles wore a classic black tuxedo.

Photos of Abigail's outfit quickly circulated on social media, where users shared mixed reactions. On Instagram, one user commented, "Best dressed for sure!!!" Another wrote, "Bizarre outfit." Some commenters focused on her footwear, with one writing, "and those shoes were busted."

In a separate discussion, someone else asked, "What is she wearing?" while another commented, "Ugh [sic] lucite chunky heels. Nope."

Some commenters, however, focused on a different part of her look. "One could argue Abigail's hair is the star of this weekend because we're probably not seeing TS 😅," a different user joked.

One Reception Toast Reportedly Left Guests Reacting in Different Ways

According to the Daily Mail, later reported by TMZ, Lena Dunham delivered a speech during the reception that included a joke describing American football as "straight guys reenacting gay porn."

According to an unnamed insider cited by the publication, the remark drew both laughter and audible gasps from guests. However, the source added that Taylor was not offended and later called Lena "a genius."

The Four Words Donna Kelce Was Willing to Share

While photographers documented guests arriving outside the venue, those who attended largely remained quiet after the ceremony. One exception was Donna Kelce, Travis's mother.

In a Macy's Instagram Reel celebrating the Fourth of July, Donna first reflected on taking her sons, Travis and Jason, to watch fireworks over Lake Erie in Euclid, Ohio, when they were children. She was then asked whether she could share anything about the wedding.

"I really can't say a heck of a lot," Donna replied. She then added just four more words: "Except it was magical, man."

Why So Few Wedding Details Emerged at First

According to Bloomberg senior national Reporter Myles Miller, MSG took extensive measures to protect the event. In a post on X, he wrote that he had been told the venue had parted ways with staff members for alleged violations of nondisclosure agreements associated with Taylor and Travis's wedding.

He also reported that everyone entering the venue — including law enforcement officers — was required to store their phones in secure bags, and that no one was allowed inside the arena before the ceremony began.

TMZ later cited Myles's reporting and that they had reached out to MSG for comment but had not received a response.

The Couple Also Marked Their Wedding Week With a Major Gift

A representative for Taylor told the publication that the couple donated $26 million to charitable organizations during the same week they were married.

According to the representative, the donations supported organizations focused on hunger relief, children's health, education, music, and animal welfare.

Recipients included City Harvest, the Food Bank for New York City, New York Cares, Feeding America, Harvesters in Kansas City, The Store in Nashville, Memorial Sloan Kettering Kids, Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone, and Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Other organizations that received donations included Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, Grammy in the Schools, Education Through Music, Musical Mentors, After-School All-Stars, Answer the Call, and the ASPCA.

On August 26, 2025, Taylor announced on Instagram a swoon-worthy series of photos revealing her engagement to Travis.

One image showed the couple sharing a tender embrace. Travis wore a navy blue polo shirt with light-colored shorts, while Taylor opted for a sleeveless striped dress, wearing her blonde hair loose over her shoulders.
