Photos and videos from the Kansas City Chiefs' training camp sparked a wave of online reactions, with some praising the athlete's appearance while others questioned whether he looks ready for another football season.

Travis Kelce has reported to the Kansas City Chiefs' training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri, to begin preparations for his 14th National Football League (NFL) season, just weeks after marrying Taylor Swift.

On July 30, 2026, Kelce smiled as he walked toward the practice field carrying his helmet. He later took part in drills wearing the Chiefs' red No. 87 practice jersey and matching shorts.

After practice, he left the field with his helmet in hand. Videos shared by KCTV5 and the Chiefs also showed him walking onto the practice field before workouts and later running a route alongside quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Beyond what was seen in the photos and videos, TMZ reported that Kelce greeted fans as he arrived, saying, "Living the dream, baby," before heading onto the field.

The outlet also said Chiefs head coach Andy Reid joked that Kelce appeared to be in great shape, crediting "all the dancing" from his wedding celebration. During practice, Kelce and Mahomes appeared to pick up where they left off as the Chiefs began preparing for the upcoming season.

One Detail Quickly Drew Attention

As more images and videos circulated online, however, the conversation quickly shifted from football to Kelce's appearance.

On Instagram, one viewer observed, "🔥looking good and happy as a newlywed and in his element." Another commenter simply said, "He's so cute!!"

A different viewer offered a more critical take, writing, "His life is so different now, before-he was hungry and would do anything to win. Go over the middle, in the middle of every scrap, dive for the extra yard. Now? He's got this dream life waiting for him. At 38? Every hit is gonna hurt more, his speed is slower making him a hard target. His heart is not in it.."

On X, several fans reached the opposite conclusion.

One user asked, "Is it me or does he look in better shape than last year." Another person wrote, "Am I tripping or does Travis Kelce look cut??" Someone else joked, "That's mr. Swift [sic]," playfully referencing Kelce's recent marriage.

Before returning for the 2026 season, Kelce was the subject of intense scrutiny in 2025 after the Chiefs' Super Bowl LIX loss, when General Manager (GM) Brett Veach revealed the tight end had been battling an illness during the game.

During the February 10, 202 game, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Chiefs 40-22. Veach noted that his team had a great season but acknowledged that they had "picked a bad day to have a bad day" when they played and lost to the Eagles.
