'Days of Our Lives' Actress Lisa Rinna Reveals Her Mother Was Kidnapped by the Trailside Killer
Lisa Rinna, who’s known for her role as “Billie Reed” on the NBC Soap opera, “Days of Our Lives,” disclosed on her current show, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” that her mother, Lois, was a victim of the Trailside Killer!
Lisa, a reality show star, revealed on Tuesday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” that her 90-year-old mom, Lois, was once a victim of the infamous Trailside Killer whose real name is David Carpenter.
During the episode, Lois helped her daughter in narrating the spine-chilling story. Lisa explained that the tragic event took place a few years before she was born. The 55-year-old said, as she painted the gruesome picture:
“…my mom was attacked by a man that she worked with. He picked her up at the bus stop and then all of sudden he started to drive her down this really deserted road.”
Luckily for Lois, a military man saw the car going through the deserted route and he immediately sensed danger. He decided to follow David’s car and ended up saving Lois from the devastating experience. Lisa said appreciatively,
“My mom was saved that day by that military policeman.”
Before the tragic event, Lois and David were co-workers. According to a source, David had invited Lois to see his new-born baby and he picked her up in his car later on.
Lois explained during the RHOBH episode that she “knew” him. Their existing friendship made it even easier for David to perpetuate his evil act. Lois said emotionally,
“I thought that was it. He’s straddling me. He had a hammer in one hand and a knife in another.”
Lois is generally believed to be the Trailside Killer’s adult victim as he was arrested during his teenage days for sexually abusing two of his young relatives.
After David’s encounter with Lois, he was arrested and imprisoned for over 5 years. Upon his release, he committed various crimes and atrocities and ended up behind bars again. The notorious killer is currently on death row at the frail age of 88.
Lisa used the platform to praise her mother’s courage and mental strength as she revealed that her mom didn’t inform her about the incident until she was about 18-years-old. Lisa remarked,
“It takes so much courage to come forward. I think the least we can do is show these victims some compassion.”
Since the release of the episode, Lois has been the center of commendations and support from various fans and viewers of the show.
