Pink Filmed on Hands and Knees Cleaning Her Hollywood 'Walk of Fame' Star
A celebrity getting busy with a brush to wash her own star at Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame” is not something you see every day. People were left wondering why was Pink doing exactly that on April 16.
39-year-old singer Pink, born Alecia Beth Moore, was honored with a star in Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame” just recently, in February, and fans must have imagined that she became obsessed with it, considering her strange behavior.
The “Beautiful Trauma” singer was spotted at the iconic site the night of April 16, and while she looked every bit as the diva she is, wearing a fancy white ensemble and high heels, what she was doing was rather unusual.
Bystanders and paparazzi photographers were equally baffled at the sight of this artist on her hands and knees, armed with water, a large brush, towels, and cleaning products to get her brass star cleaned up.
Some witnesses noticed that Pink was filming what it was mistakenly believed to be a music video for her most recent album, which seemed like a fairly logical explanation for the act she was putting on.
But according to TMZ, what the mother-of-two was performing was part of a skit to be aired later in “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” “Some might call it dirty business, but in Hollywood ... it's just show business, baby,” the gossip news outlet satirized.
As Hollywood Pipeline reported, Pink’s star is located just across the street from the studio where the late-night show is recorded, in front of Hollywood & Highland, in Hollywood Boulevard.
About two months prior, Pink’s star, the walk’s 2,656th was inaugurated in a ceremony attended by the singer’s husband Carey Hart and their two children, Willow and Jameson.
TV host, actress, and comedian Ellen DeGeneres was also present as the star was unveiled, to speak about Pink’s trajectory and achievements.
On February 20, Pink teased her most recent single “Walk Me Home” during her appearance at DeGeneres’ TV show. The song is part of her upcoming album titled “Hurts 2B Human.”
Pink will continue her “Beautiful Trauma World Tour” with a concert in Los Angeles, California on April 19. Then she will travel to Detroit and other cities in the US.
Pink’s career breakthrough came in 2000 when she released her first solo album “Can’t Take Me Home,” which went on to go double-platinum, including hits like “Most Girls,” “There You Go,” and “You Make Me Sick.”
For years, she stuck to her namesake hair color, which made her instantly recognizable in her beginnings, but she eventually ditched it and moved on to other styles.
She remembered how awkward it was to be in front of the cameras for promotional pictures when she launched her music career, with a throwback Instagram picture she posted in 2018.
