Carrie Underwood and Kelsea Ballerini Stun Fans with a Magnificent Duet at the Grand Ole Opry
It was a captivating moment for fans at the Grand Ole Opry; as the seasoned country singer Carrie Underwood performed alongside Kelsea Ballerini while welcoming her to the family of country artists!
25-year-old Kelsea had the time of her life as herself and the former "American Idol" winner, Carrie sang Trisha Yearwood's “Walkaway Joe” on stage. The rendition of the song arrested the audience. However, the fans were not the only ones thrilled at the pair's delivery of the classic tune.
It appears the new artiste was overwhelmed with the joy of having to stand side-by-side with Carrie Underwood.
According to Kelsea, the experienced country singer has been her role model and served as an inspiration to her. In the details obtained in a recent interview, the young singer applauded the musical prowess of Carrie. In her words:
“I wouldn't know what it looks like to be a female in country music without Carrie Underwood. She's one for me that I've always looked up to, not only her music but I think she has the kindest heart. I think that she's so poised, I've always kind of wanted to follow in those footsteps”.
Kelsea Ballerini's passion for country music started a long time ago, but she took it more seriously after her first meeting with Carrie long before they both shared the stage. She stated that she had been pretty excited to take a picture as a fan years before and never thought she would be singing with the award-winning artiste.
The apple doesn't seem to fall far from the tree. Kellie's interest in music started from her teenage years. The country singer threaded in the path of her father. Although he wasn't an artiste, her dad was a radio programmer but possessed a substantial amount of interest in country music, and he was an on-air-personality of a local radio station in Tenn.
The initiation ceremony that embraced her into the family of country artistes also enjoyed the infusion of music genius, Keith Urban. While she and Carrie practiced backstage, Keith jumped on the third verse of the tune.
Although she happens to be the Opry's newest and youngest addition, the family had invited other talented vocals on board, such as Dustin Lynch, Chris Janson, and Chris Young.
Kelsea shares the uniqueness of initiation as her idol; both women were inducted at about the same age into the web of prominent country musicians.
The upcoming country musician doesn't just possess an appealing voice; she seems to have a large heart and takes her family seriously. The first song she wrote was dedicated to her mother. She also shares a similar amount of affection for her father. She claimed that her favorite meal which is a type of pasta is usually excellently prepared by him.
