Katie Couric’s Daughter Is All Grown up
Carrie Monahan, Katie Couric’s youngest daughter, is all grown up now and turned to a real beauty just like her popular mother.
Katie has two beautiful daughters, Ellie and Carrie, from her first husband, John Paul Monahan, who passed away in 1998.
"I've had 19 Thanksgivings and Christmases since he died. Many of them have been full of joy and laughter."
As time passes by, a lot of fans noticed that Carrie, who was born in New York City in 1996, bears a strong resemblance to her mom.
The young woman dreams of working as a writer. She's a student at Stanford University and has already shared some of her essays to a few magazines.
Carrie, who joined in an internship program in France, is also an advocate for a good cause. Earlier this year, she created a fundraiser for RAICES, a nonprofit organization that provides free and low-cost legal services to under-served immigrant children, families, and refugees.
"Want to join me in supporting a good cause?" she wrote. "I'm raising money for RAICES, and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support."
She also donated for March For Our Lives, a movement dedicated to student-led activism around ending gun violence and the epidemic of mass shootings in schools today.
Carrie's father, John Paul, died of colon cancer at the age of 42. Her mother, Katie, then became a spokeswoman for colon cancer awareness.

You probably know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, if you haven't had to contend with it yourself. As many of you know, in 1998, I lost my husband, Jay, to colon cancer. Three years later, I lost my sister, Emily, to pancreatic cancer. I felt so powerless as I watched this disease take the lives of two people who meant the world to me. I wanted to help spare other families the terrible heartbreak mine had endured, and I realized that new treatments had to be developed more quickly for the patients who needed them. With guidance from the smartest scientists and the support of the entire entertainment community, nine of us started @su2c to help do that. Nine years later, our researchers, doctors, patients and donors are rewriting what is possible by collaborating on cutting-edge treatments that are literally saving lives. Swipe through for survivors who have been helped by @SU2C research: Jacob Teel, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia; Trina Taylor, Colon Cancer; David Gobin, Lung Cancer; and Karen Taphorn, Melanoma. I invite you to join our movement that is ending cancer as we know it. With 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women getting some form of cancer in their lifetimes, the need is urgent. We are all about the science. 100% of every donation received by SU2C directly funds lifesaving research. This holiday season, please click the link in the bio to donate if you can. Thank you so much for your support. In an article for Time, Katie wrote, "I've had 19 Thanksgivings and Christmases since he died. Many of them have been full of joy and laughter; the days, months and years of living made me forget when sleep provided the only refuge."
The mother-of-two found love again, though she is not afraid to confess that she misses her first husband.
In September 2013, Katie became engaged to financier John Molner after a two-year relationship. The couple tied the knot in June 2014 in a small, private ceremony at her home in The Hamptons.
