Gabrielle Union & Daughter Kaavia Go Twinning for Baby Clothing Line Launch
Following Dwyane Wade's retirement from the NBA, he and his wife Gabrielle Union have finally launched their newest business venture, a clothing line named after their daughter. For the clothing line's launch, Kaavia and her beautiful mother decided to go twinning by wearing one of the matching outfits in their new collection.
There's a new competitor in the scene of baby clothing, and that's the Wade family's "Kaavi" clothing line. This week, the proud family had a launch event to celebrate their first collection, and it looks extremely exciting.
The Kaavi James Collection launch occurred at the Burbank center, and Gabrielle and Kaavia sported matching tie-dye dressed from their own collection. The new clothing line consists of items that are priced from $14.95 to $44.95, which include girls and unisex pieces from 0 to 24 months.
Of course, any mom would like to have some pieces of clothing to match her child's, so Gabrielle came up with some "mommy and me" pieces. Some styles of their clothing include fleece pants and coveralls, denim chambray, cotton voile printed dresses, t-shirts, onesies, and many more.
During one of her interviews during the launch, Union revealed her inspiration behind the collection.
“My collection is inspired by my daughter, Kaavia. I wanted to create a baby collection because it was a natural progression where I am in my life now, and it has always been important to me to make sure that the collections that I design reflect a part of me and are true to what I think many women can relate to."
Sealing the Deal
Dwyane and Gab previously legalized their business a couple of months back, trademarking their daughter's name for it. They sent in trademark applications for "Kaavia James" and "Shady Baby," one for their clothing line and another for a loan out company they recently started under their daughter's name. The loan out company wrote Gabrielle as its CEO, while Dwyane works as its CFO.
Aside from their loan out company, it seems they are also interested in using their daughter's name on diaper bags and baby bibs. Meanwhile, Shady Baby is a nickname that Union gave her little bundle of joy, describing her habit of "throwing shade" on her own Instagram account, which already has a total of 535,000 followers.
