Everyone can now add "Dr." before Regina Hall's name, as she was awarded an honorary doctorate from Dillard.

Now that graduation season is here, honorary doctorates are being awarded to numerous personalities left and right. One of them is Regina Hall, who now goes by Dr. Regina Hall.

The actress gave Dillard University's commencement address and happily received an Honorary Doctorate. She also made sure to share the special moment on her Instagram, saying:

"Congratulations to the graduating class of 2019 @dillarduniversity! It was an honor to be there with all of you on this special day. Thank you to all the faculty and staff for treating me so kindly and presenting me with my Honorary Doctorate. Just call me Dr. Hall from now on."

Regina Hall's long list of academic degrees

The honorary degree adds to Regina's list, formerly receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English from Fordham University, and then a Masters in Journalism from New York University.

Regina's knack for studying has gotten her to where she is now, and thanks to her accomplishments in the arts, Dillard University decided to award her with a huge gift that she'll cherish forever.

Missy Elliott's Honorary Doctorate

It's not just Regina Hall who received an honorary doctorate this week, as even Missy Elliott received one from the Berklee College of Music.

Dr. Elliott is finally being recognized for more than a decade of stellar artistry in multiple music genres. The 10-time Grammy Award winner was provided with an honorary doctor of music degree last Saturday, May 11, at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

She became the first ever female rapper to receive an honorary doctorate from the college, as they described her as a "groundbreaking solo superstar, pioneering producer, songwriter, singer, and rapper."

Alongside Dr. Elliott, Justin Timberlake and Broadway orchestrator Alex Lacamoire were also awarded doctorate degrees.

Congratulations to all our new honorary graduates!
