Tamron Hall Reveals Why She Kept Her Pregnancy a Secret
Tamron Hall, 47, only announced her pregnancy on March 4, about a month before she gave birth due to “medical factors” that placed the mother and child at risk.
Moses, son of Tamron Hall, came into this world on April 24, but his mother kept her pregnancy a secret for the longest time until she finally announced on March 4.
“I was high-risk, not just because of my age, but there were other medical factors too,” she told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. “I was terrified I would lose this baby, and I would have to go back and tell everyone that now it was bad news and after this pregnancy had gone so far.”
PRESSURE TO GET PREGNANT
During her 30s, Hall tried and failed at utilizing fertility treatments and was placed in a daunting situation after realizing that many women had the same ordeal as her. She felt sadness knowing “that some of us will have to give up along the way.”
“I knew that the clock was not on my side,” Hall said.
Hall’s pregnancy came as a surprise, and for a first time mother that age, it was very much understandable why she kept her life private until her recent announcement of expecting a child with her husband, Steven Greener, who she only revealed to be married to recently.
‘MY DEEPEST, GREATEST LOVE’
The former “Today” host defended that she had no intention of keeping her marriage a secret, but only trying to “protect” it by keeping it as “private” as can be.
“This was my deepest, greatest love, and I’d never talked about my personal life on TV,” Hall said after admitting she knew Greener “many years” before their relationship began.
Hall’s life has been looking great with a happy marriage and a new son, which came after she was removed from her spot at “Today” show, which Megyn Kelly got.
GREENER THE PRODUCER
Hall began posting more photos with her husband on social media, proudly sharing their moments the recent weeks. The privacy she put up with made people wonder who her husband is, given that he is not in show business.
Greener is a music producer at Primary Wave Entertainment’s talent department and was credited for being a producer on “The Bernie Mac Show” and “Soul Men.” Among the celebrities they have helped build are Fantasia Barrino, Bernie Mac, and Will Smith.
NOWHERE BUT UP
Hall’s life has been looking great with a happy marriage and a new son, which came after she was removed from her spot at “Today” show, which Megyn Kelly got. However, Hall, who initially felt bad, does not feel any ounce of dislike at Kelly.
“Let me be clear, I have no ill will toward Megyn,” Hall said. “They made her an offer she couldn’t refuse. And they made me an offer I could refuse.”
