Lori Loughlin’s Daughters Olivia Jade & Bella Spotted Together for 1st Time since the College Admission Scandal
It is the first time when the daughters of the “Fuller House” star and her husband designer Mossimo Giannulli are seen together in public since the scandal surrounding their admission to USC surfaced.
Two months after the biggest college bribery scheme of US history was uncovered by FBI’s “Operation Varsity Blues,” ending up with the indictment of 50 people, including their famous parents, the Giannulli sisters appeared together again.
20-year-old Bella and 19-year-old Olivia Jade were caught by photographers as the two arrived at a West Hollywood nightclub early on May 29, amid a long night of partying.
FAMOUS FOR THE WRONG REASONS
While both sisters had some experience under the spotlight, one as an aspiring actress and the other as a fashion and makeup YouTuber, Bella and Olivia became household names in the US for all the wrong reasons.
The young women have been at the center of the storm since both their parents were accused of paying up to $500.000 to fix their entrance test to college and faking sports profiles.
Even when a former assistant women’s soccer coach from USC plead guilty to accepting bribes from the sister’s mother Lori Loughlin, the actress and her husband have chosen not to reach a plea deal and are facing jail time.
THE IMPACT ON THE FAMILY
The shameful situation has reportedly taken a toll on Olivia and Bella’s relationship with their parents, as they would have blamed them for their downfall and the suspension from the university.
“Olivia is having a very hard time dealing with this, and for the most part she's cut herself off from her mother and is going out and partying a lot,” a source told ET recently.
"She feels she hasn't been a part of any wrongdoing and feels tricked by her parents into going to a school that wasn't even her top choice. Right now she wants to prove she can do it on her own, and she thinks going back to school will help renew her image," the source added.
"[But] Lori and Bella have remained incredibly close throughout and have been a wonderful support to one another," explained the source.
"Their closest friends feel it's been devastating to watch the effects this situation has had on their family and their relationships,” the source concluded.
DID OLIVIA KNOW ABOUT THE BRIBES?
But despite Olivia and Bella having been portrayed by the media as victims of their parents' wrong decisions in this matter, it has recently surfaced that Olivia allegedly was fully aware of the bribes her parents used to get her in USC.
“Olivia fully knew what her parents did to get her into USC, but didn’t think there was anything wrong with it. She didn’t get into any other California schools,” another source told US Weekly on May 26.
