The Toronto man who shared lewd comments about Ayesha Curry on live Canadian television is now under police investigation. The man also cried foul after people started sending him death threats after revealing himself as the man who said the comments on TV.

After Toronto Raptors' Game 2 loss, a frustrated Toronto fan decided to disrespect Ayesha Curry out of anger. The comment he made went viral, and people are now furious that Ayesha Curry was dragged into something that she was not involved in, all the more because she was disrespected.

“What I am trying to do is maybe reach out to Mr. and Mrs. Curry and that’s realistically who I feel I owe an apology to — and maybe Toronto,” he said.

No woman deserves to be disrespected regardless of the situation, and Ayesha Curry's case in this year's NBA finals makes it all the more clear that women are abused regardless of whether or not they are directly involved in something.

An Extreme Raptors Fan

Stephen Curry made sure the win was going to the Golden State Warriors in game 2 of the NBA finals, and Toronto Raptors fans were just not happy about that. Unfortunately for the whole fanbase, one extremist fan screamed an insanely lewd comment about Ayesha Curry that ended in him being investigated by the police.

Hijacking a live interview of Raptors fans, the man, identified as Ottawa salesman Tristan Warkentin, screamed something extremely inappropriate that no woman would ever want to hear in their entire lives.

The foul message was not just disrespectful, but it is extremely unsettling and uncomfortable for anyone, especially Ayesha, to hear.

Now, Warkentin reveals that he is planning to apologize to Ayesha, and shared that he was drunk.

“I’m not in a position to defend myself in terms of what happened. I am sure you understand the influence of alcohol,” he said in an interview. What I did was disgraceful; it was an alcohol-influenced situation. To be honest I don’t even remember being there but I am responsible for my own actions at the end of the day” and “am not sitting here claiming victim.”

Unsure of his next steps

He then says that he's trying to reach out to all the people he's offended, but was honest enough to say that he's not sure what he's going to do.

“What I am trying to do is maybe reach out to Mr. and Mrs. Curry and that’s realistically who I feel I owe an apology to — and maybe Toronto. I am not sure what I am going to do. When you add fuel to the fire, there’s going to be more of a problem.”

The Wrong Attention

Ayesha Curry once said that she never got the attention that her husband gets every day because of his fame, particularly around people of the different sex. As a wife, she once felt uncomfortable with so many women surrounding her husband, saying she does not receive the same attention from men.

This type of attention that she recently unwantedly got, though, is most definitely far from what she'd imagined, and it's something that she or any woman, would never want to experience in their lives.
