The cat in this joke certainly seemed to have magical powers, since every time the man of the house tried to get rid of her she outsmarted him in a most extraordinary way.

Cats are really mysterious creatures. In addition to the belief about these domestic animals having nine lives, they always look like they know something we don’t, and the man in this story got a good taste of this.

We are glad to bring you this joke of the day, found on Mr. Funny, so you can laugh at the misery of this desperate boyfriend who was tired of sharing his home with his girlfriend’s cat.

Brian and his wife lived in a nice little house in Georgia. Their kids had moved out a long time ago, but the couple still had a cat, a tabby by the name of Smokey.

Brian had never gotten along with the cat, and he was hoping to get rid of it, once and for all.

One day, unbeknownst to his wife, Brian put the cat in his car and took it to the end of the block where he let it go.

When he got home, he saw that the cat had beat him there – Smokey was lying out on the lawn, soaking up the sun.

Undeterred, Brian put the cat in the car, drove a few miles across the city and tossed it out the car again.

Upon returning home, he was astonished to see that the cat had beat him home again – Smokey was sitting on the porch, licking his fur. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” Brian thought to himself.

The next day, he drove all the way to the county border and dropped off the cat in a big quarry.

“At least this time she won’t find her way back,” he thought. However, when pulling into the driveway, he could see the cat sitting outside the front door, playing with a ball.

Almost ripping his hair in frustration, Brian took the cat and drove him across the city, over the river, through the woods, and clear across three counties before putting the cat outside and driving off.

Three hours later, the man’s wife was at home when the phone rang. She picked up the phone and heard her husband on the other end of the line: “Is the cat there?” Brian asked. “Yes…” she replied.

“Well, put her on the phone, I’m lost!” Husband shouted.

The above was, as you know, a fictional story, but anyone who has been outsmarted by a cat can relate to it, even if it is a person who doesn’t plan on getting rid of the animal.

“It’s funny because it’s true,” they say, and this real-life cat caught stealing his owner’s sandwich is an example of what these creatures are capable of.
