Todd Chrisley of 'Chrisley Knows Best' Feels 'Displeasure' Explaining to Granddaughter Chloé about Death
American reality television star, Todd Chrisley has a difficult challenge explaining what death means to his grandchild, Chloe.
Todd Chrisley has never failed to display his love for his children and grandchildren by providing them with endless gifts.
Todd is, however, known to be very fond of his granddaughter, Chloe, as he went on to get a spur-of-the-moment fish for her. When questioned by his daughter about the fish, Todd explained that he gets completely helpless whenever she (Chloe) asks him for anything.
He confessed to daughter Savannah,
"When she asks me for something, I'm a goner."
Savannah replied:
"No, you're going to be a goner if you bring another living creature in this house and Mama sees it."
Although Todd's wife, Julie Chrisley wasn't pleased with the new development of having a pet, feeling that the responsibility of caring for the fish would fall back on her, Todd has a more challenging task, which was, explaining the sudden death of the fish to Chloe.
The fish, "Bones" died after Todd fed him too much. The reality TV star tried to make his wife agree that he gets Chloe another fish, but Julie didn't have it. Instead, she suggests that Todd uses this opportunity to teach the 6-year-old about death.
Todd, initially told Chloe, the fish went to be with his family in a better pond elsewhere, but after being pressed to get real, he admitted that the fish died.
As Chloe gets heartbroken over the death of her pet, Todd quickly offered to throw a proper burial ceremony for the fish. With a little casket made for "Bones" and appropriate mourning attire for Chloe, the burial was in place.
Julie confessed that things turned out better than she expected and also explained that it was a good learning experience for Chloe.
Also recently, Todd gets worried as he observed that his son, Grayson, was hiding something from him. Todd's suspicions were confirmed when he saw Grayson whispering quickly to his friend as they were all on a trip to the movies.
He attempted to push, all in a bid to prove Chase wrong after he called him old and "not cool." However, after speaking to his mother, Nanny Faye, he was advised to "sit back and be patient and let him come to you."
He heeded the advice, and after a while, Grayson opened up to him over a casual game of cards and told him:
"I may or may not have a girlfriend."
Todd became relieved and happy his son could still confide in him. He also confessed that he learned a lesson, and that's about giving your kids "a little bit of space."
