Beth Chapman's Step-Granddaughter Abbie Shares a Photo with Grandma Amid News about Her Death
Family and friends paid tribute to the late Beth Chapman through social media posts, including her step-granddaughter, Abbie, who commemorated the reality star by posting a selfie together on Instagram.
Heaven gained an angel on Wednesday, June 26, after Beth Chapman lost a well-fought battle with throat cancer. Her family, friends, and fans have paid respects to the late reality star through throwback photos on their respective social media accounts.
Chapman’s step-granddaughter, Abbie Mae Chapman, also paid homage to the star with a sweet photo of the two leaning towards each other with Abbie’s arms around her beloved grandmother. Although the post had no caption, the picture spoke for itself.
Abbie is the daughter of her step-daughter, Lyssa Chapman, who did not have a good relationship with her father and step-mother for a while until her latest days on earth. During Mother’s Day, Lyssa did not greet the Chapman matriarch, which she later brought to Twitter.
“I’m very disappointed today knowing that not only did my daughter @BabyLyssaC not acknowledge me on Mother’s Day yet texted some of my friends wishing them a HMD,” the late Chapman wrote.
The news of the “Dog the Bounty Hunter” star’s death was confirmed by her husband, Duane “Dog” Chapman, on his Twitter as he penned a painful statement. He wrote:
“It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”
Chapman’s death happened a few days after she was placed in a medically-induced coma due to difficulty in breathing which was later classified as an emergency “choking” at Queens’s Medical Center in Hawaii.
Before her final moments, she was surrounded by her family and friends, including her mother who flew in from the mainland, and her husband who held her hand through it all.
