1. Halle Berry

Known for her role in Catwoman, Halle Berry was born on August 14, 1966. The stunning actress is the first woman of color to win an Academy Award for Best Actress.

In 2002, she made the People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in the World list. She was also the first black American to compete in the Miss World Competition.


2. Sandra Bullock

Born on July 26, 1964, Sandra Bullock is a world renown actress with many awards under her belt. One of her awards includes a prestigious Oscar for playing Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side in 2009.

The award made her one of 17 actors to win the Award for playing a real person who was still alive at the time. She has also featured on the People (USA) magazine list for 50 Most Beautiful People in the World and the Empire (UK) magazine's "The Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time" list. 


3. James Cameron

James Francis Cameron was born on August 16, 1954. A surprising and relatively unknown fact is that the left-handed screenwriter actually drew the picture of Rose (Kate Winslet) in the movie Titanic in 1997.

The image had to be flipped so that it would look like Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) was drawing it with his right hand. In 2009, Cameron received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard.


4. Steve Carell

Actor Steve Carell was born on August 16, 1962. He was one of 115 people invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) in 2007.

On January 6, 2016, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His star is located at 6708 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.

Martha Stewart was born on August 3, 1941. This stunning celebrity chef was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" in 1996.

The goddaughter of the legendary Aretha Franklin on 9 August 1963. Whitney Houston was born into a musical family.  

She has won multiple Grammy Awards and has held seven consecutive #1 records in the United States. She also held the #1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 for 14 weeks with her song "I Will Always Love You" between 1992 and 1993.


9. Dustin Hoffman

Dustin Hoffman was born on August 8, 1937. He famously played a number of difficult roles including a crippled street hustler in "Midnight Cowboy" and an actor pretending to be a woman in "Tootsie."
