This actor, who rose to fame in the '90s, is now a grandfather of two. His ex-wife served as a surrogate for his daughter, helping to expand their family. The actor has six children with different mothers.
Beyond his personal milestones, his professional achievements have also been significant. Over the years, the celebrity has built an extensive acting career, appearing in more than fifty films and five television series.

He is best recognized for his television work, particularly for portraying Lance Cumson on CBS' "Falcon Crest" (1981) and Reno Raines in the syndicated series "Renegade" (1992).
While his career brought him widespread recognition, the actor's personal life has been just as eventful, marked by multiple marriages and a growing family. Over the years, he has been married five times, with each relationship adding to his journey as a father.

His first marriage to Victoria Hilbert lasted from October 1981 to May 1983. Soon after, he wed Michelle Smith in May 1983, and during their time together, they welcomed two children, AJ., an actor, and actress Shayne, before divorcing in December 1985.

His third marriage to Kathleen Kinmont began in January 1989 and ended in 1993. In April 1996, the star married Shauna Sand, with whom he shares three daughters.
One child, Alexandra, a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach was born in 1997. Another, Victoria, has over 30k Instagram followers while Isabella also has a similar following on the platform. The couple's marriage lasted until October 2002.

In addition, the actor has another daughter named Paton Ashbrook, whom he welcomed with actress Daphne Ashbrook. Paton is also an actress who got engaged in 2023.
Years after ending his fourth marriage, another chapter in the family man's personal life began when he crossed paths with actress Shawna Craig. Their introduction in 2011 did not immediately lead to a romantic connection, as the actor was already in a relationship at the time.
A mutual friend in Los Angeles believed they would make a great match and suggested they go on a date. However, as Shawna later recalled, "[The actor] said, 'Oh, I would love to, but I have a girlfriend.'"

Given the circumstances, she assumed their relationship would remain strictly platonic, describing the situation as "kind of an awkward transition."
Despite their initial meeting not leading to a romance, circumstances changed. Just a week later, the pair crossed paths again—this time under different circumstances.

According to Shawna, "He said, 'I'd like to take you out on a date, if that's OK,'" she recalled in an interview. The model hesitated, reminding him that he was still with someone else.
However, he assured her that was no longer the case. "I actually broke up with her because it wasn't a serious relationship. I wanted to be honest with you and start things off properly with you. That's all buttoned up now and I would like to take you out," Shawna remembered him saying.

Their relationship moved quickly, with an engagement after three months and a wedding in Mexico a year later. While their marriage had its challenges, financial struggles were among the most significant.
In 2015, the actor shared that he had never required prenuptial agreements, believing they signaled doubt from the start. Eventually, he shifted careers, becoming a commercial pilot.

Shawna never questioned their relationship but found it difficult to see him struggle financially. She felt he had given too much to people who did not truly support him, making the early years of their marriage more stressful.
Although their situation improved, the strain often left her emotional. In 2017, the model spoke about their marriage on E!'s "Second Wives Club," hoping their experiences would resonate with others.
While she later clarified that her words were not always presented as intended, she saw financial highs and lows as a normal part of life, especially while raising children.
Despite the challenges in their marriage, family remained central to Shawna's life. She formed a particularly close bond with her husband Lorenzo Lamas's daughter, Shayne Lamas, who married Nik Richie in 2010.
Their family continued to grow when Shayne and her spouse welcomed two children, a daughter, Press, and a son, Lyon. Lorenzo embraced his role as a grandfather, often sharing his pride on social media.
In one post, he affectionately wrote, "How friggen cute are my grandkids? Papa Lolo loves you! @presslamas @lyonlamas, [sic]," alongside a photo of the siblings.
The proud grandparent wasn't the only one sharing moments with his grandchildren. Shayne also posted updates, including a video of her son that quickly caught the attention of her followers.
One comment pointed out the resemblance between Lyon and his famous grandfather, asking, "He looks like your dad.. or is it just me who sees that…?" Others focused on his charm, with one calling him "adorable" and another exclaiming, "WHAT A FACE!!!!!!! beautiful child."
Shayne and Nik welcomed their son Lyon via surrogate. When the mother of two suffered a life-threatening miscarriage that led to a full hysterectomy in 2014, Shawna stepped in to help by becoming her surrogate.
"I never wanted to have children of my own. I always knew I wanted to help in some form," she shared in an interview once. Having previously been an egg donor, Shawna had already assisted couples in having children. For her, surrogacy felt like a natural next step.
However, her desire to help was met with initial hesitation from Shayne and Nik, but she encouraged them to take their time. A week later, they decided to move forward, and she became their surrogate.
The couple welcomed their son, Lyon in 2015. For Shawna, the experience was one she truly enjoyed. "Honestly, if I could be pregnant my whole life, I would," she said, describing it as a joyful experience. The California native was happy to see Shayne feel complete with both a son and a daughter, knowing how much it meant to her.
Despite her love for pregnancy, she and Lorenzo never planned to have children together. They briefly considered in vitro but ultimately decided against it. She admitted he was initially disappointed but later appreciated the decision, recognizing that raising children had been a constant part of his life.
While Shawna was certain they wouldn't have children of their own, she remained open to surrogacy, confident she would do it again at least once or twice. Beyond that, Shawna embraced the role of stepmother. "It was never something Lorenzo said I needed to do," she explained.
Having been raised by a single mother, she recognized the challenges Lorenzo faced as a single father. Wanting to offer structure and stability to his daughters, she stepped in willingly, taking pride in the support she provided. However, the couple divorced in 2018 following seven years of marriage.
Several years later, in May 2021, Shayne and Nik also announced their separation. In a statement, she shared that they had reached "a loving conclusion to get a divorce," emphasizing their mutual respect and commitment to co-parenting.
Shayne described it as a case of two people growing apart and asked for privacy as they adjusted to their new family dynamic. She and Nik had been married for 11 years.
Lorenzo Lamas's journey has been marked by a dynamic career, a complex personal life, and a deep devotion to his family. Through marriages, fatherhood, and now grandparenthood, he continues to embrace each chapter with pride and affection.
