Sara Haines Falls Asleep with Newborn Son in Her Latest Photo

Sara Haines' newborn already just looks just like his mother in a precious photo that showed as the two were fast asleep together.

Haines, 41, was photographed on Thursday morning as she dozed off with baby Caleb Joseph Shifrin, who rested sweetly on his mother's chest.

A bare-face Haines looked extremely tired in the shot, which is expected of any mother taking care of their newborn. Caleb was simply doing his job as a baby — napping when and wherever he so pleases.

In the caption, Haines admitted that she was "asleep on the job," adding that she was "not sure who went [to sleep] first." The comment section was a mix of praise and adoration.

News anchor Kristine Johnson admitted that she was jealous of Haines' "gorgeous" face considering the inevitable "sleep deprivation" she must be experiencing with her newborn.

Someone else commended Haines for getting rest, saying that "a well rested mommy is a good mommy," and encouraging her to "get all of it you can." Another fan stated that Caleb is "the absolute definition of an angel."

There were some eagle-eyed fans who were able to determine just how similar Caleb already looks to his mother. With at least two people excitedly calling the mother-son duo "Twins."

Someone else was even more specific. "Your lips look so alike!" the user said. The newborn has very few distinctive features, but who's to deny what others perceive as obvious.

Another user simply reminded Haines to appreciate the "cute moment," adding, "You will truly treasure this one many years from now." Haines, who has two kids with husband Max Shifrin already, certainly has an idea of how special such moments are.

The pair welcomed their son on June 26 and did an interview with People magazine soon after. They revealed that Caleb was named after the former "The View" co-host's grandfather and brother.

Haines, who worked alongside Michael Strahan just before taking maternal leave, told the outlet that she and Max "are riding the life high of meeting this new little guy and the heart we just grew as he joins Alec and Sandra."

The "Strahan and Sara" co-host also shared the first photos of the newborn with the magazine, subsequently posting it to her social media along with the caption:

"Our beautiful baby boy, Caleb Joseph, has arrived. We couldn’t be more IN LOVE with our little guy and can’t wait for him to meet Alec and Sandra. Thank you to everyone for all of the kind messages."

Alec Richard, three, and Sandra, 18 months, make appearances regularly on Haines' Instagram. Now, little Caleb will also be a welcome sight for fans. Based on her last pregnancy, "Strahan and Sara" viewers can expect Haines to return in Mid-September.

In the meantime, Strahan and Hanes chose singer and actress Keke Palmer to fill in during the summer, and fans seemed to love the selection. We know Haines is taking full advantage of her time off and hope she's able to get more rest as time goes on.
