Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard Respond to 'Counting On' Fans Who Say Women 'Have No Rights’ in the Duggar Family

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard did not hold back in their response to a fan who said the women in their family have, “No rights,” and in the process, Dillard made an exciting reveal.

Reality TV couple, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard of “Counting On” fame is no stranger to controversy. Their family and beliefs are covered in it, but when a fan took a jab at the rights of their women, the couple responded without holding back.

The jab came after Jill shared a photo on Instagram, of herself with a friend named Nancy, at the Governor’s house, to celebrate with “Tea” the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote.

Since the Duggars are known to be conservative and considered backwards by most of their fans, one of the reality star’s followers, Samuels Kylie, decided to point it out.

Kylie, belittling Jill’s post, wrote,

“I had to giggle. The ladies in your family have no rights; the men control you.”

Adding at the end,

“I love your family, but come on!”

The comment didn’t sit well with Jill and Derick, and the mum-of-two responded gracefully with the words, “You are mistaken.” The father-of-two, on the other hand, felt the statement needed more, and he wrote,

“If you only know our family from a semi-scripted show, then you are either assuming things that aren’t there or believe that’s all there is.”

The TV star went on to intimate that not only do their women have rights, if his wife on the premise of the “Lord leading her,” decides to run for Governor, then not only would he vote, Derick, wrote that he would support her, “Every way a spouse can.”

The last part of the response is entirely accurate, as the couple support each other in everything, and contrary to their fans opinion, Jill does have a say in their home.

In a live chat session with their fans on Instagram earlier this month, the “19 and Counting On” star made it clear that when it came to expanding their family, she is the boss.

After answering no to a question on whether or not they’ll have a new baby this year, Derick reaffirmed his wife’s answer, before adding that it’s biologically impossible.

Before the live session, the TV couple faced criticisms for sharing too much PDA on Instagram. Fans called photos of the two kissing, “Gross,” and asked them to keep it private.

Whether Jill and Derick would take the advice is entirely up to them, but if precedent is followed, then the couple would ignore the negative comments, and focus instead on their love for each other and all the positive things in their lives.
