People: Heather Locklear Still Has a 'Loving' Relationship with Daughter While Going through Rehab
The Court ordered a thirty-day rehabilitation program for actress Heather Locklear, but that hasn't stopped her from having a loving relationship with her 21-year-old daughter, Ava.
57-year-old actress, Heather Locklear, is battling with substance abuse, and this time, the court ordered her to undergo a month-long rehab program in a private facility.
Through her rough patches in life, the actress has had tremendous support from her family and her relationship with her daughter, Ava, is as strong as ever.
LOCKLEAR’S RELATIONSHIP WITH DAUGHTER AVA
Although Locklear is seeking help and is away from her family, the actress posted a tribute to her only child, whom she shares with ex-husband, Richie Sambora, from rehab on her 21st birthday.
In the video she shared on Instagram, Locklear was going through a series of framed pictures of herself and Ava while praising her daughter. "Happy Birthday Sweet Child of Mine," she captioned the post.
"Oh my gosh, I can’t believe my little baby’s birthday is today! Look at the baby, oh my gosh, she’s growing up so quickly," she said while going through various pictures of Ava ranging from her childhood to present.
"I want to say happy birthday to my favorite person in the world. Ava, my princess, my one and only," the actress continued before showing the multiple candles she had lit for her daughter.
"The kindest, funniest, smartest, most beautiful child in the world and you’ve turned out to be so wonderful — well, you came to me that way. I love you, I want to squeeze you and kiss you and spank you 21 times," she said.
In these hard times, the mother and daughter still share the warm bond.
ALL AVA CAN DO IS PRAY AND SUPPORT HER MOTHER
Ava, Locklear’s daughter, supports her through these rough times. "Ava has a very loving and supportive relationship with her mom," a source told "People."
"And as painful it is, she knows that it’s in her mom’s hands and God’s hands. All she can do is like anybody else, just pray and support."
LOCKLEAR’S MISDEMEANORS LAND HER REHAB TIME
Last month, the "Melrose Place" actress, plead no contest on eight counts of misdemeanor. The charges stemmed from her two arrests in 2018, "People" confirmed.
Locklear had one count of battery on an emergency medical personnel, two counts of resisting, obstructing, or delaying a peace officer, and five counts of battery on a peace officer.
The first arrest was made in February on suspicion of felony domestic battery over an incident with her boyfriend. She allegedly threatened the deputy’s that responded to the call. She got three counts of battery on a police officer from the incident.
The second arrest, happened in June after Locklear allegedly attacked a police officer and EMT, who responded to the distress call at her residence. Police told "People" that she was "arguing with friends and family," and was "Extremely intoxicated" when they arrived.
