Both men have engaged in bashing each other before the ever watchful eyes of the media. While Trump is famous for his incautious dish of words, the "Terminator" star isn't ready to give in either, as he responds to nearly all what the President says in relation to him.

However, according to the Hollywood famous star, Trump admires him, and all his former friend wants to do, is be him. He said:

"He's in love with me. That's the reality of it. With Trump, he wants to be me."

The 72-year-old veteran actor successfully replaced Trump on the NBC Celebrity Apprentice show, and that has been a bone of contention for the latter.

After Arnold hopped on the show, it's ratings went down and the production halted. This seemed to piss the former show's star off, and Trump began his bashings first via Twitter.

The Republican stated that the show's ending was quite a tragedy and happened as a result of Arnold's presence. He tweeted:

"Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't voluntarily leaving the Apprentice; he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show."

The celebrity turned governor, was quick to tackle that situation. He replied via a tweet expressing how erroneous the President's view of him and the show is.

Further into the interview, the Former Californian Governor shared how his relationship with Trump has been. He admitted that they have not always been at loggerhead with each other.

In fact, they used to spend some quality time together years back when Trump was fascinated by wrestling competitions and bodybuilders.

Both men seemed pleased with each other until their engagement in 2016, before the replacement on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice. The ex-governor claimed that his vote was going to John Kasich rather than Trump. Both Trump and Arnold are Republicans, so this action caused a strain on their relationship.

Later on, the American President emerged the highest-ranked nominee. A little into 2017, the President could not curtail his disdain for the actor and stopped at nothing to show it to the media.

The 72-year-old may have successfully switched from acting to the ruling, but he seems to always have it in him. His dedication to his craft as an actor made him bring forth his A-game during his performance.

Arnold however explained in the interview that he learnt during his rule how to manoeuvre and make certain decisions because of the keen interest in politics. He admitted that at first, it was an arduous task, but much later he settled in the role of leadership and delivered well.

The actor seems unrelenting in his quest to deliver, as he will be starring alongside 36-year-old actor, Gabriel Luna in "Terminator: The Dark Fate."

His fellow actor spoke about how he reverences Arnold and even referred to him as a " historical figure." So it may be hard for the actor to believe he isn't loved after all his steadfastness in his craft has earned him the recognition of many.
