Thanks to his good demeanor, though, his prison sentence may be slashed in half and he's expected to be released within the month or no later than December 15.

The early release date comes as a surprise to many, since reports have previously stated that he would be released from federal prison in November 2020.

The early release date comes as a surprise to many since reports have previously stated that he would be released from federal prison by November 2020. In fact, his own wife believed he'd be released next year as she previously revealed in an interview.

"He'll be home next year. Collectively, he's been away almost five years. It's a drop in the bucket to a lifetime you have to spend together."

Back to Business

Now that Mendeecees' return is coming a lot sooner than expected, it's back to business for the artist as he is set to re-join "Love & Hip-Hop" with the rest of the crew as previously confirmed by his wife.

Throughout his stay in prison, Mendeecees used his time wisely. He allegedly completed a substance abuse prevention program, took classes on how to be a responsible parent from prison, money management, health and nutrition, and public speaking.

Now that he'll be joining the outside world in a couple of weeks, it'll be great to see how he'll apply all that he has learned in the past five years. Moreover, Mendeecees and Yancy will definitely have a happy holiday with their children, as this will be the first Christmas and New Year's Celebration that they'll get to spend together.
