Karyn White and Terry Lewis' Daughter Ashley Is All Grown up and Looks like Mom
Karyn White and music producer Terry Lewis are the proud parents of a grown-up daughter who also works in the entertainment industry. She recently joined her dad at the Soul Train Awards, where he was honored with a Lifetime achievement award.
Back in the '80s, Karyn White was one of the most relevant names in the R&B genre. She's better known for the singles "Romantic," "Secret Rendezvous,” and “The Way You Love Me," but it was the iconic “Superwoman" that cemented her popularity.

She married music producer and songwriter Terry Lewis in 1991, and together, they were an unstoppable force. Their family grew in 1994 when they welcomed daughter, Ashley.
Sadly, things didn't work out between the two and they divorced five years later.
FOLLOWING HER PARENTS STEPS
White then proceeded to retire from the spotlight to raise her daughter away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, but still, once that she grew up Ashley found her way to the industry that joined her parents.
Although she's not a singer, nor a music producer or songwriter, Ashley enjoys being both in front and behind the cameras.
The proud mom, in return, praised her daughter's altruism and good heart.
After graduating from Howard University with a B.A. in Broadcast News in 2015, she started working as a reporter.
First, she was a Floor Director for the show “Good Morning Washington” on WJLA-TV and later was a News/Feature Morning Reporter at WRBL News 3 in Columbus, Georgia.
She also worked as a reporter on WTVR in Richmond, Virginia, until the beginning of this year, when she decided to start her own business.
MOVING ONTO GREATER THINGS
The 25-year-old was the creative content producer and host of ATL’s Best, a web series that showed its viewers the best of Atlanta.
However, it seems like that didn't work out and now Ashley is back in Los Angeles, where she's working as an Associate Casting Director with Bunim Murray Productions.
Her first project is casting people for OWN's "Iyanla Fix My Life," and Ashley couldn't be more excited.
She also recently made a trip to Las Vegas to join her father and siblings as Lewis and his business partner, Jimmy "Jam" Harris, were honored with the Legend Award at the 2019 BET Soul Train Awards.
Ashley has a great relationship with both of her parents, and while interviewing her mother a few months ago for an episode of ATL's Best, she told White:
"The best thing about our relationship is the fact that you always keep on pushing me to strive better than what I’m doing or just to be the best in general.”
The proud mom, in return, praised her daughter's altruism and good heart, explaining that, despite growing up in a privileged position, Ashley always has time to think of others.
White is also back into the spotlight, still releasing music and touring around the world.
