Florida Mom-of-3 Shared Trick to Stop Kids from Asking for Toys at Stores during Christmas and It's Gone Viral
A mother of three shared a simple hack to stop her children from asking for toys at stores during Christmas.
Kristina Watts, from Panama City, Florida, took to Facebook to share a trick that will save any mother's sanity during the holiday season when their little children's demand for toys skyrocket.
"Once again my camera roll is FULL of pictures of Emerson with every single thing she wants for Christmas. Why...because it's the most amazing parenting hack ever and has stopped MANY meltdowns!" she wrote.
PAINFUL TRIPS TO THE STORE
Watts said that her trips to stores used to be more painful every Christmas, especially with stores being filled with more toys than any other time of the year. And unfortunately, her children would always want to have more toys than they needed.
Then she realized that a simple picture can keep her children from demanding toys to be bought. Watts wrote:
"Pause for a second, comment on the thing they're pointing out, and say, 'Let's take a picture with it and send it to Santa so he knows you want it!'"
WORKS LIKE MAGIC
Watts added that one can send the photo to her children's grandparents or whoever.
As if by magic, her daughter, Emmie, would put down the toy and walk away, without throwing a tantrum. The girl would then forget about all the toys within minutes.

Her post has gone viral with over 50,000 shares in less than three weeks.
In an interview with TODAY, Watts shared that before discovering this simple trick, she would dread taking her daughter into stores, as she would almost always carry the girl out screaming because of unbought toys.
A similar trick that went viral involves a father trying to appease his two daughters who were upset over their mother being away for too long.
While on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, his two daughters had a meltdown, dissatisfied that their mom was away for too long. It was a full-scale tantrum, and as the first sister started crying, the other one didn't hesitate to follow suit.
However, the girls weren't going to have the last laugh or in this case, tears, as their father decided to join in, telling them to take turns while crying so that he could also be part of it.
He was seen telling his girls to take a break after crying, then cry himself before letting them resume. And it worked like magic.
