SECRET TO A HAPPY PARTNERSHIP

During The Paley Honors: A Special Tribute to Television's Comedy Legends last November, the 80-year-old actress said:

"We all have a secret. It's just the secret is that you're committed and care, and you want it to work out. You don't want to walk away from something that's important."

The couple has been supportive of each other, especially with Tomlin's hit show "Grace and Frankie." The couple admitted that they watch the show together and laugh endlessly at everything.

Sadly, the show is coming to an end after its seventh and final season. The show's duo is thankful that they were able to tackle the issues in today's generation through the series.

AN INSIDE LOOK AT THEIR RELATIONSHIP

The couple's relationship began when Wagner invited the comedian to collaborate on the album "And That's the Truth" in 1971. Since then, the two have been inseparable.

Their union also created award-winning films, including "Moment by Moment" in 1978" and "The Incredible Shrinking Woman" in 1981.

Although they never hid their relationship, they never confirmed it either. In fact, in 1975, Time magazine tried to get Tomlin into making a public announcement about their relationship.

She said:

"In '75, I was making the "Modern Scream" album and Jane and I were in the studio. My publicist called me and said, 'Time will give you the cover if you'll come out.' I was more offended than anything."

A SWEET UNION

Tomlin and Wagner got married on December 31, 2013, 42 years after their first collaboration, at their friend's house in Los Angeles.

The ceremony remained private and simple, yet sweet. Trying to keep it low-key, the couple tried to get their marriage license without the media gaining knowledge.
